It is an ex-council house (ie bought off former right to buy occupant) in case anyone should think that I am scrounging off the public purse.
I have never said that Drs should get unswerving loyalty or are beyond reproach in all instances. It is fine for drs to be held accountable (that's what the GMC is for) but there is a difference between a mistake and negligence. I think it was only Jesus who never made any mistakes. I am just trying to correct the idea that a bad outcome means someone is to blame. Even a mistake may not be s negligent one.
In a heated debate where there was spin and hyperbole from both sides I am not going to take some leaked comments from one trade union leader as either true or representative of all Drs but you are entitled to your own opinion of course.
I will continue to believe and to say that the vast majority of Drs and other health care professionals are doing their best to provide good care under challenging circumstances. I believe that based on my knowledge and experience and the strike hasn't changed my opinion on that.
