Being honest I did not want to go anyway.
Its her daughters party today, she is 5. I brought her some clothes and lost the reciept. I whatsapped my friend and asked what time she wants me round which she ignored. If you don't want me to come why not just say.

I probably am being unreasonable. Should I give the clothes?

Do you not think she just might be busy/stressed and read but forgot to reply?
I do that even when I'm just sitting on the sofa.

QuiteLikely5 · 28/05/2016 14:50

What time was the party ? If she invited you why not just turn up

Or did she not tell you a start time previously

m0therofdragons · 28/05/2016 14:51

On the day if dd's party I never have time to check my phone. She's probably busy getting ready for the party.

Shannyfanny · 28/05/2016 14:54

i phoned just now as well, I know it was afternoon sometime as she hired a bouncy castle and a pony. I don't know her address as she just moved 4 weeks ago.

barbecue · 28/05/2016 15:11

How far away are you? Why not just go round for a bit?

barbecue · 28/05/2016 15:11

(after getting the address from a mutual friend)

blinkowl · 28/05/2016 15:25

It's very unlikely she's ignoring you!

She's probably rushed off her feet.

emmalimesmom · 28/05/2016 16:19

sorry but i think the opposite of what everyone else thinks, yeah she probably is busy but surely she would have her phone in her pocket if she expecting lots of ppl to turn up for the party. ppl maybe ringing for directions, say they are going to be late or they cant make it.
if she dont return your call in the next hour i'd assume she really doesnt want you there and invited you to be polite hence not giving you her address

emmalimesmom · 28/05/2016 16:21

oh and if you dont go take the clothes back and treat yourself
i hope im wrong cos its a mean thing to do

barbecue · 28/05/2016 18:19

It's a bit odd to put out an invitation without stating the time or address though, isn't it?

Shannyfanny · 28/05/2016 18:42

shes read the message on whatsapp. Is nearly 7 now take it i'm not invited.
She does kind of have a track record of doing stuff like this.

Send another saying 'I assume I'm no longer invited. Have a good evening.'
The ignorant moo.

emmalimesmom · 28/05/2016 19:03

bin her off, you dont want time wasters like her in your life.
when she messages you with whatever excuse , leave it a couple of days before you answear.

nasty thing to do to someone

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/05/2016 19:06

She sounds really nice Hmm

NinaSimoneful · 28/05/2016 19:10

A birthday party for a five year old would almost certainly be over by now. I'm sorry OP, you've not been treated well. Flowers
