Sorry if there is too much info and if I have put this in the wrong section.

I have never had a period since before my daughter was born (she will be 8 in October).
I am on the contaceptive pill (cezarette. Don't know if this matters) and it has stopped my periods which I love.
However on Saturday night I had a really bad back and thought nothing else of it. During the night I had brown bitty discharge and really bad stomach cramps and back pain. I thought that was weird and had never happened before. Then yesterday I had what I would class as a mini period. It lasted for a few hours then stopped. Had more brown bitty discharge for a few hours then nothing.

Is it normal? In the 7 years I have took the pill it has never happened before.
Does your body get used to the pill?
Should I speak to a doctor about it?

I am on the same pill and it has happened to me also very very occasionally. The doctor said it was fine. I had lots of tests for other stuff at the same time andtime and they confirmed all was fine and it just happens.

If you are worried then best to see the doctor anyway.

Worth a visit to your GP. It could well be your pill: odd bleeding patterns are to be expected with any form of hormonal contraception, although unusual if you have not had bleeding with cerazette before.

Are you up to date with your smears? Your GP will almost certainly want to have a look at your cervix and will do a smear if you haven't had one recently.

Also, it's probably worth doing a pregnancy test just in case. Something quick that you can do yourself. All pills have a failure rate, as I'm sure you know!

Other things could be something like fibroids or an ovarian cyst. If you continued to get pain and bleeding you should ask about an ultrasound to look for those.

Hope you get on ok.
