to give 1st birthday present 4 days early

I've bought her a nursery swing for the garden. It's her 1st birthday present. As it's nice and coolish outside and we are in garden is it ok to give her it now.

My sister says no it's bad luck. Although she gives presents early if birthdays fall mid week e.g roller scates or skate board. So they can play at weekend.

Now I'm not bothered about her opening presents from us on birthday as she will have loads from others.

What would you do??

Just do it such a nice day shame to waste it pluss it's raining next weekend x

My DD has a winter birthday so often gets presents weeks in advance if they're warm weather or outdoor things.

I don't believe in superstitions anyway!

She has no idea of the date!!!!!!!!

Stop dithering and ignore your sister's superstitious nonsense!

Enjoy the swing! Lovely gift for a little one

That settles it. Lunch and assemble swing.

See I am superstitious at times but I don't see the harm. And I would be gutted if I waited and it rains.

That's peeps GrinGrin

Yes do it and enjoy

StableButDeluded · 22/05/2016 13:17

Oh, goodness me just do it!
She doesn't know when her birthday is.

I once moved my daughter's birthday back a day because I was working away the day of her actual birthday. She was two - didn't know a thing.
