to be pissed off that dp shared a golliwog picture.

amongst other things that have pissed me off.. using the word retard, pushing our sons face into his ice cream for a laugh, and then calling me boring because i said any drifting in a car would have to be done on a race track and not the roads.

Feel like i'm living with a teenager.

Nothing wrong with golliwgs. They are just dolls. I have 16 on display. Anyone who gets offended is sensitive and pc.

Pushing your sons face into ice cream is either abusive or over zealous play, I can't decide. Your husband sounds cocky and domineering and a few shades more will be abusive.

I think the reposting the Facebook post is immature. I'm on the fence as to if it makes him a racist.

There are clearly issues in your relationship. If you're unhappy then the two of you should break up. You don't need a reason as such.

Can't be arsed to get into the whole Gollywogs issue again. My last word on the subject - people who think Gollywogs are OK for whatever reason are always ignorant and most usually not terribly bright. For me, that's enough to throw in the towel on any relationship.

In my experience people who bandy PC around are not only not very bright, but just want to be free to use racist, disablist and homophobic language or embrace such concepts while not giving a flying fuck how other people might feel about it.

I've seen that golly picture on Facebook and it's deliberately provocative. Nothing innocent about it. I'm surprised people can't see that. I'm sure my ex would have shared it. That's one of the reasons he's my ex. He turned out to be a racist emotionally abusive arse to me and my children.

I have a golliwog. He was hand made for my grandma when she was young. He used to just sit quietly on a shelf in our spare room. Just minding his own business. Mil stayed over a couple of years ago and threatened to rip him apart because she found him so vile.

I know about the racist connotations. But I was suprised she was so offended given that she's the worlds biggest racist

Anyway. I told her if he bothered her I'd put him away.she yelled at Dh for marrying a racist.

Golliwog is now living in a plastic box under the bed.

He sounds like a prick and as though he is moving on from your relationship anyway. I would give him a hefty kick up the button to help him on his way much sooner. I would hate the ice cream thing.

People who share pictures of golliwogs are insufferable. The ice cream incident is just horrid. Of course your son laughed at 6 but it is just juvenile twattery that no decent father should be modelling to his son. I also think it's bordering on bullying.
