To be jealous my ds seems to love Mil more than my own DM

I know I'm BU but it really upsets me for ds (nearly 2) seems to love Mil more than my own DM.

They both see him as much as the other but when Mil comes over his face lights up and is always trying to kiss and cuddle her. When my DM comes he's just not that bothered.

I just can't work it out and it makes me sad. I don't want ds to love my DM more or anything.

My Mil is lovely so it's not a slight on her

Sometimes people just 'click' with each other. Doesn't mean your DS loves your Mum any less.
Assuming your MIL isn't treating him particularly differently from your DM, then I think you just have to accept it.
You may find that as your DS grows older he may change his view, but you can't force it.

Is your mum more strict with your ds than MIL.
I was always more for my paternal nan, as. She was less strict, Well sge wasn't at all strict. Very easy going and full of fun. Where as my maternal nan love her as I do was very strict.
