AIBU to worry about why tax credits think my dd isn't living here?

I had a letter from tax credits today asking me to provide documents to prove that my 6 month old dd is in my care and living at my house. I have no idea why they would think otherwise Confused

Also I am not sure what documents I supposed to provide as she is only 6 months she doesn't get letters etc?!

I am worried now why they think she has been elsewhere!

Did you send them her birth certificate when you added your dd to the claim?
I had to send them my 4 month olds birth certificate as well as send it too the child benefit office, no idea why but they requested it!

cloneroom · 17/05/2016 19:35

Yes we sent the birth certificate when we did the original claim. But they want proof she has lived with us since then.

They seem to have no problem believing our other children lived with is but be highly suspicious of the 6 month oldHmm

Do you claim child benefit?? That will link child to address??

cloneroom · 17/05/2016 19:41

I never got around to adding her to the claim could that be why they doubt she lives here!

Is she perhaps very quiet?

I would register her with the child benefit office then. They may send a letter to confirm it too

DonkeyOaty · 17/05/2016 19:49

Yes I believe the child benefit not being updated is flagging up an anomaly

Get that sorted then ta dah

Kicks self for being pathetically disorganised Blush

It'll be because of the hold benefit. Sort that out first.
