AIBU re hospital appointment

I have a hospital appointment at 4 today, it is to check my eyes as i am diabetic. The problem is I don't want to go, I just want to be left alone at the moment. My husband died in February, very suddenly, and I am struggling to get myself together. Unfortunately I have postponed this twice once because it was straight after his death and then because my dm was rushed to hospital the morning of the next appointment. I have had enough of doctors and hospitals for the time being.
Would there be any come back if I just don't turn up.

I'm pleased you went. My dad died in February and I have some awful, deflated days. But I do feel better for doing 'stuff'. Flowers

Well done, glad you managed it & hope you did something nice after. A taxi so you couldn't jump out is genius! Smile

I am so pleased you went Pixie. I have diabetes and was in the same position this week. Have had several issues with my eyes and the reviews are very stressful. Like you I was worried about what they might find but it worked out well for the both of usFlowers

Well done for going OP. I'm glad it was OK and that the changes you'd noticed weren't too serious. Flowers

Well done!

Thank you all, I didn't do anything special after, I couldn't see well enough for hours anyway. However after just about finding my way to the bus stop and asking this young man was I at the right place, I had a lovely 20 minute wait where he chatted and flirted a little and made my day so much more pleasant. In fact it was just what I needed. :)

i've just been diagnosed with type 2, it is scary and life changing but you need to keep up to date with stuff to keep you healthy, your dh would have wanted that for you. it's difficult but try to be kind to yourself, keep the hospital in the loop and make the most of all the support going.

mrsfuzzy · 18/05/2016 17:04

well done for sorting it !

Thanks, welshpixie, it's very true.

I went 'out out' last night and that was good.
