I tried three times to stir him to get him indoors but to no avail....I had real children to put to bed. Hmm

I have also locked the front door 'cos I don't want to risk being burgled -be woken up in the night-

AIBU?

Anyway, hope op is ok.

People i know went to a party. He drank so she drove home. On the way home they stopped at a petrol station to fill up and she went in to pay, leaving her dh in the passenger seat but taking the keys with her. He was arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle because he was in reach of the handbrake.

Apparently the magistrate was not impressed with the charge and commented how ridiculous, but the guy was still convicted.

But more importantly OP, why are you with this man? In what ways does he enhance and enrich your life?

LolaCrapola · 15/05/2016 22:02

Hmmm. I almost forgot I started this thread...when I was cosily tucked up in bed last night .... I left him there with no blanket, sick bowl or water....and I defo brought the car keys indoors with me 'cause as an ex police officer I know about the drunk in charge of a vehicle scenario ....though the reason I brought the keys indoors was I was more worried about him losing them/car being stolen and him kicked out of it - both probably highly unlikely but hey....

And as for DH .....he eventually phoned the landline ( I had switched mobile off Grin ) at 5 am and sheepishly asked to be let in as he was cold!

Thankfully it's the first time that has happened ....and hopefully the last!

Can't believe you left him without a blanket tbh. It was a one time occurrence.

HackerFucker22 · 15/05/2016 22:14

Well he won't be doing it again in a hurry will be paul?

LolaCrapola · 15/05/2016 22:22

To was already in bed myself.... I wasn't about to go out to the car in my pjs to the poor lamb....like Hacker says ....he won't do it again!

Bit extreme to call your DH a "drunken bum" then OP. Its OK to have fun once in a while whether your 19 or 90. Give it a try. You might enjoy yourself.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 15/05/2016 22:56

Hacker nope! Not will be be inclined to help the op if she ever drinks too much! Switch the sides and this thread would have been an absolute riot!
