we had a lot of freedom and life was pretty good.
I left school at 16 and the next week started a job.
when at school . I walked 3 miles a day each way....apart from watching out for a major road we were safe. school was shit but the rest was good.
there are so many threads slagging of parenting from back then but it wasn't all bad.

I don't think the AIBU 70s thread is slagging off the parents.

I certainly do slag mine off for things they did, but those things aren't decade-specific.
