A friend of a friend is an ambulance technician who does the transportation between hospitals of special care babies. She recently helped moved boy twins - Rogan & Josh Grin

Jasonandyawegunorts · 13/05/2016 19:31

isn't Teddy short for Theadore?

Bogeyface · 13/05/2016 19:32

In our local paper some years ago where twin boys called Leroy and Elroy which did make me raise my eyebrows.

Levi is a nice name for a boy. Diesel is a nice name for a cheap nasty aftershave.
Neither of them are nice names for little girls and much less for grown women.

Still, at least if they want to enter male dominated careers, they are more likely to get interviews than applicants named Josephine or Charlotte!

Bogeyface · 13/05/2016 19:33

Teddy can be short for Edward too.

liberatedwine · 13/05/2016 19:34

Rage is an awful name for a child, I wonder if she will adapt it to Paige or Rach(el) when she's older?

Hushabyelullaby · 13/05/2016 19:36

My friend's male dog is called Diesel, and I've known a couple of boys called Levi.

DieselLevimama · 13/05/2016 19:36

Er, are you talking about my DDs? Grin

Hushabyelullaby · 13/05/2016 19:37

^^ Grin

NeedACleverNN · 13/05/2016 19:37

Yep teddy can be short for Edward or Theodore but he's not either of them. He is Teddy.

flirtygirl · 13/05/2016 19:38

I like them levi being biblical but for boys not girls.

JessTitchener · 13/05/2016 19:39

A girl I went to school with named her twins Paris and Parisse (both girls)

OhSoggyBiscuit · 13/05/2016 19:45

DIESEL! DINNER!
Diesel if you don't clear these toys up NOW I'm going to throw them away!
Ah yes, I would like to speak to you about my daughter, Diesel? Yes, in class 3b.

IDontBelieveAnything · 13/05/2016 19:48

I don't believe some of these names . Rage and Envy? Seriously?

Think some of you are being joshed. Hmm

I have a set of hilarious pretend names for my now adult DC which they will still answer to if we are out and about. The aim is for no one to laugh. Viz's Modern Parents have a lot to answer for Wink

DreamingofItaly · 13/05/2016 19:50

I knew of someone who called her children Chardonnay and Shiraz (not twins). She didn't even know they were grape varieties! She'd heard Chardonnay on Footballers Wives and liked it!

Bogeyface · 13/05/2016 19:53

"How to name your child" should be a compulsory part of Ante Natal classes!

GinnyMcGinFace · 13/05/2016 19:53

My son's best friend is called Deisal (pronounced Diesel) and he is the loveliest, most well mannered boy I've ever met. I genuinely don't think much of his name anymore, I just associate it with all of his lovely traits.

fizzbozz · 13/05/2016 19:56

And then there's Sam and Ella. Lovely names on their own, but say them together quickly...

DieselLevimama · 13/05/2016 19:59

Bit like the Wrack twins. Ruth and Anna. Grin

pinkmagic1 · 13/05/2016 20:01

Levi is a proper name and was my grandads middle name, never heard it used for a girl though. Diesel is just awful, came across a boy with that name once and wondered if maybe he had a sibling called 'Petrol!'.

Oh my. I mean, hormones have made me suggest some 'interesting' names during my 2 pregnancies but they're quite something.
I went to school with siblings Champagne and Tequila. I believe they've both changed their name now... wonder why.

CrowyMcCrowFace · 13/05/2016 20:13

Mate of mine was at school with the Nurse twins, Peter and Andrew.

Posh boys school. Register done by surname. Unless there were two of you of that surname in which case it was Initial Surname.

Apparently 'A Nurse! P Nurse' was still bringing the house down in the Upper Sixth.
