To think that jam jars don't make good glasses?

What's it all about? I keep seeing them and have even been compelled to try to drink from one. The threaded top is surely incompatible with normal human lips.

Oh I like them, but I like any old gimmicky shite. I am the uncoolest person on the planet though.

YANBU. Tadpoles or jam or maybe screws. Not beverages.

Artisan glasses

John Finnemore has a good song about this kind of thing.

YANBU. There was an MNer who was served a cocktail in a tin.

My family has used those glasses they sell mustard in for ages - but those don't have a screwed on lid, and were sold with the intent that people use them for drinking - some even had some nice pictures printed on.

I see no reason to use jam jars for that purpose, except poverty - and maybe wasps. Certainly not in a restaurant.
