ahhh that satisfying SNAP. yet some heathens (i'm looking at you, DP) insist on room temperature. what's that all about?!

Right. Reporting back:
Yes! Refrigerating the bar definitely improved it!
There was a satisfying snap as I broke each piece off. The nugget and the caramel were hard and crunchy, and the salt seemed to come through more.
As a dessert/ candy bar it was very nice. In fact, there's none left.

However, at 55% cocoa solids I still argue that it's not actually proper chocolate.

Would any of you refrigerate a box of Neuhaus? Or a bar of Lindt & Sprungli?

My favourite at the moment is a Lindt lemon bar that says on the packet to refrigerate. I also like their truffle balls (and I normally hate truffles) after they have been in the fridge. Cold chocolate to snap off and then a silky chilled centre, mmm.

Limey chocolate surprisingly delicious.

We go one step further here, all chocolate goes in the freezer ! Even the kids do it . I wouldn't eat chocolate at room temperature if you paid me, it's horrible.

There is a lime lindt.

It's a fine bar of chocolate, perfect from the fridge.

Lindt comes in every flavour imaginable. I go shopping in Germany regularly and there is a whole aisle of Lindt. I like the sour cherry and chilli. And pomegranate.

They have special limited editions too. The coconut truffle balls were divine. The strawberry and white chocolate less so.
