I don't know if you eat sweet chocolate, but that might be a reason to put it in the fridge (hotter things need less sugar to taste sweet).

You know what you want to do? Take a bite, whilst holding your nose (yes you have to eat with your mouth open a bit). Let it melt in your mouth a bit, try to let it coat your tongue, all inside your mouth. Then let go of your nose. Amazing!

I'm a roomy temp guy, my GF is a chiller girl. when i buy chocolate i have to buy 2 bars and put 1 in the fridge, which goes against every fibre of my being.

Chocolate needs to be room temp before you put it in your mouth. chilled it seems to lose it's tase, somehow.

I always keep chocolate in the fridge. I
love the snap, then it melts in the mouth and releases all its sexy flavours. Even fridge cold it melts quickly unless you scarf it all down like some kind of philistine:

It needs to be room temperature so the fats are soft which maximises the flavour as they coat your tongue.

It has to be room temperature so that it starts to melt as soon as you put it in your mouth. Chocolate from the fridge doesn't melt quickly enough to release the flavours properly unless you're full of hot air.
