To find the person wearing Poison (lighthearted)

in the office and ask her never to wear it to work again?

Seriously, that stuff hasn't got any less stinky since it's late 80s/early 90s heyday. Plus I can smell it at my desk and whoever it is - and let's face it, she won't be hard to find - must be over ten metres away.

I LOVE POISON!! That or addict are my favourite

HeilandMoo · 13/05/2016 22:28

Eden, the one in the green bottle. That honks too

HeilandMoo · 13/05/2016 22:28
meffhead · 13/05/2016 22:36

Alien and Angel ... Bllllleeeuuughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

HooseRice · 13/05/2016 22:42

I worked in a shop in the eighties. If anyone came in wearing Poison or Paris perfume I would get an instant headache that would last til the end of my shift. Aromatics, even though it is far too strong too, does not have the same effect.

HeilandMoo · 13/05/2016 22:44

Hooserice, love your user name. Brilliant

notamummy10 · 13/05/2016 22:47

I'm not the only one who doesn't like the perfume, wahey. My DM knows I hate the smell of it, so what does she go and do? Spray it near me, she can be a bitch at times! Sad

HisNameWasPrinceAndHeWasFunky · 13/05/2016 22:49

honey if you like sweet heady scents you will probably like The Dark Heart of Old Havana By 4160 Tuesdays.

notamummy10 · 13/05/2016 22:49

Meffhead I agree about Angel, it's too sweet but Alien is my go-to perfume for everyday... I need to get it refilled, that reminds me.

rockchick78 · 13/05/2016 22:58

I wear Hypnotic Poison...!

Winterbiscuit · 14/05/2016 01:37

YANBU. Most perfumes are horrible.

IWasToldTheredBeCake · 14/05/2016 01:47

Another EX Poison wearer here! Wore it in my 20's but do agree it smells rank what little did I know in them days. I prefer La Vie est Belle nowadays. And I can't smell myself Grin!

CakeNinja · 14/05/2016 02:03

Yuk! My stepmum used to wear this (she was so lovely, I'm not step parent bashing!) - it was so cloying 😷
I remember countless times waking up to the stench of her getting ready. She wore that and alternates it with, I think, JPG, the bottle was the shape of a naked woman. I can't stomach either scent now. Her and my dad separated 15 years ago and while they haven't spoken in all that time, I'm still in touch with her so her smell hasn't made me feel badly towards her Grin
Thankfully though, she had progressed in the perfume department.

MissManagement · 14/05/2016 02:08

My best friend has been a Poison wearer since our schooldays and I love it. Even cadge a squirt sometimes. Tendre Poison (now sadly discontinued) was the nicest one. The new Poison Girl is really lovely too imho.

So yes, OP you are being v v v u!

:)

shartsi · 14/05/2016 02:19

I cannot stand davidoff cool water.
, smells like pesticide

IWasToldTheredBeCake · 14/05/2016 02:21

Deviating here but...

I love it when dh wears Drakkar Noir another oldie

Reminds me of an ex boyfriend!Blush

flipsahoy · 14/05/2016 02:28

MissManagement, Tendre Poison was the one I used to wear so maybe that's why I don't remember it being horrible...

TheSquashyHatOfMrGnosspelius · 14/05/2016 03:04

Georgio makes me want to barf. Reminds me of a terrible holiday with a friend and a friend of that friend. She reeked of it and was a total bitch to me the whole fortnight. It must be still available as I got a whiff of it on an escalator a few days ago.

FlorisApple · 14/05/2016 04:34

Poison reminds me of a very mean French teacher at high school who used to drench herself in it. God, she reeked. She thought she was incredibly sophisticated (wasn't French, but thought she was.)

My Mum used to wear Paris, and being trapped in a car with that scent for a night out was truly overwhelming. Thank God she has stopped using it now.

Why do perfumes smell so different on different people though? A friend of mine used to use Allure and it smelled gorgeous on her, but I have tried it on me and it smells awful. I admit I used to use Poeme, and for a while, Miracle, but now I can't stand any, anywhere near me.

Only1scoop · 14/05/2016 05:00

It's perfume Brothers Grim

Along with

Obsession
Samsara
Opium

Yuck

Izzabellasasperella · 14/05/2016 08:45

I love Opium but I only wear it on nights out because it is very strong. Although dd said she passed a little old lady who made her think of me because she was wearing it. Maybe it's time to update my perfume😂

Tessticklesyourfancy · 14/05/2016 08:54

A train ride on a hot day from Leeds to Huddersfield with a poison wearer in the same carriage! Only just made it to the toilets on the platform to throw up, migraine from hell causing stuff.
Back in the late 80"s we used to comment about poor taxi drivers, they'd have a sinking combination of Estée Lauder Beautiful
Opium
Rive Gauche
Tressor
Plus tonnes of hairspray
Poor blokes are probably stil suffering now! Blush

Spangletangle · 14/05/2016 09:00

I find a lot of perfumes offensive and asthma inducing. I have to move on the bus and have often been in some distress in situations where I can't easily move.

MetalMidget · 14/05/2016 09:03

Ugh, Poison - never has a fragranced been more aptly named. There was an Oompa Loompa in the duty free spraying it around a few years ago, it felt like the shop had been hit by chemical warfare.

Becoolio · 14/05/2016 09:05

I have been bought but couldn't wear Samsara, Dior addict and Angel. I tried to like them all as it's such a waste to not wear expensive perfume but they made me feel sick.

I used to like LouLou and J-lo but they are far too strong and distinctive for me these days.
