... To think there are too many cries of LTB on MN?!

Seriously. Day in, day out.

It worries me that so many MNers see marriage as being so disposable.

Cheaters, chronic liars, DV, fair enough. But at least half of the threads I see on here certainly don't warrant a LTB Hmm

Is this genuinely representative of the population which might explain divorce rates in this country or is it confined to MN?

OP posts:

YABU.

But there are far to many whiny threads saying there are too many people saying LTB on MN.

other posters have pretty much covered all the reasons why suggesting LTB is usually relevant.

I await with interest links to threads where the op is being advised seriously to LTB for trivial matters. show us your evidence op!

"But I also think that LTB because he doesn't pick up his socks isn't really the answer either" - what kind of strawman bullshit is this? Links or GTFO, OP.

"there are far to many whiny threads saying there are too many people saying LTB on MN."

This.

AIBU to think that anyone with a username of Mummy and a birthyear is probably unbearably twee? Grin

WellErrr · 13/05/2016 12:26

The OP, from what Ive seen before, seems to be one of these 'just make him a nice dinner' 'show him what he's missing' 'maybe he's just stressed' 'I'm sure it's nothing' types.

OP, if you stick around you will soon realise that mumsnet is very woman focused, which is lovely, as very few places are. Why should women stay in unhappy and abusive relationships?

Why?

Women tend to post on Relationships when they reach the end of their tethers, hence the high proportion of LTBs.

I'd also love to see where someone was told to LTB for not picking socks up.

Day in, day out.

Pick just one day then and give us the examples/evidence from that.

Today or yesterday will do just fine.

Barbet YANBU!

Op, what really worries you about this?

Do you think women are in danger of breaking up otherwise very content families at the behest of other women on Mumsnet?

Do you genuinely think the 'divorce rates' in this country is because some women get all uppity about men's socks?

HapShawl · 13/05/2016 13:31

DoreenLethal read my first post, I do not agree with the OP, nor do I think it is a bad thing if men are made to stop and think by advice to LTB
