AIBU to think the guy next door is a total twat

To be fair I'm not sure what he looks like as he has so many people around him every time he's outside his house. He's out there now playing with a football in our narrow street with his friends making a really annoying bouncing noise. I'm guessing he's around 23-24. His parents are lovely but I can hear his mum calling him to get up around 12 noon and weekends or any day I'm home at that time. He stands outside smoking with his mates and using bad language which my 3 year old can hear. The worst thing is he smokes weed in his bedroom which filter through an air vent and the smell comes into our house. Sorry but I had to vent because he is really irritating me!

If it was just the football and mum calling I'd say YABU but the weed is unacceptable (and illegal)> Tell his mum on him!!

I think the most irritating thing there is the swearing.

I don't like the smell of weed/cigarette smoke but then I don't like the smell of the majority of my neighbour's cooking either, so I live with it.

Ha ha. I was being light hearted anyway. I just think he's annoying but there's worse neighbours I guess. The football is probably because dd had fell asleep unexpectedly and I was trying to read my book. And I think because the same thing used to irritate my dad growing up so I get on edge!

The football thing would make me want to stab him.

I think if I were you, when next talking to the Mum, I'd say something like "are you aware of a strange smell at the moment? It keeps coming through the vents in my bedroom. If I didn't know better I'd think it was weed! I just can't think what might be causing it..."

One of my friends has a massive problem with someone in her block of flats smoking weed. It's got to the point where you can smell it on her clothes when she takes them out of her wardrobe! The smell in the corridors is unbelievably strong.

I'm fairly sure the Mum is going to know if someone is smoking weed in her house.

The smell is unmistakeable and if it's strong enough for next door to smell it?

What I don't understand is why he smokes cigarettes outdoors and weed inside?

My thoughts exactly! And he now has the window open when he smokes it so if I open the window to the room it just defies the object! If I had another baby I'd be really stressed because that would be their room. My oh uses it for his computer and I don't know how he isn't high when he's been in there. I also had to stop drying the washing in there in case you could smell it on clothes. I'm sure his 'visitors' come round for it as well as I've seen them clutch hands in that 'exchanging' kind of way. Or is the weed making me paranoid 🙄😜?!

The weed thing would really piss me off as in the smell coming in. Also sounds dodgy dealers coming around? I know its a cliché but have you considered the police?

No because they're bound to know it was me and it's every evening so just an evening smoke so I don't think they're hardcore
