Sorry to offend anyone just need to have a vent Blush I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, but I can't help but get annoyed with smug pregnant women Grin I don't feel smug at all, most days I want to give the world the finger lol.

Does anyone else find the 'we're pregnant' (puke) & naming the unborn baby with names like peanut & piglet so bloody annoying Grin & when pregnant women walk around holding their bump just really irritating? Maybe it's just me Confused hormones raging Wink oh & signing cards from bump Confused I could go on and on ... Grin

With both my pregnancies I had at least 35 weeks of constant nausea and threw up a minimum of 8 tines a day. I hated everyone but particularly smug pregnant women with their shiny hair a glowing skin and ability to hold down food. Fuckers the lot of em.1qqem.1q

Amummyatlast · 08/05/2016 22:22

If I'm ever lucky enough to get pregnant again I will be just as 'smug' as with my first pregnancy. F off.

readingrainbow · 08/05/2016 22:25

I think you're looking for problems that don't exist. People are happy, they say and do twee little cutesy things. Nobody is being smug AT you. They are living their lives.

Sorry you're feeling rotten.

novemberchild · 08/05/2016 22:33

We're around the same stage of grumpiness, then, OP ;)

Don't look up maternity t-shirts on ebay, then. It will raise your blood pressure...

I was amused rather than annoyed when a friend posted on Facebook how rude all her fellow commuters were for not giving her a seat on the bus. She was 14 weeks pregnant and a bit portly to begin with so of course no one on the bus even noticed! But I remember how all consuming the first pregnancy is so just clicked 'like'

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/05/2016 22:42

I got far more attention from men throughout my pregnancy than I ever did from women. Men would show an Interest, and offer me a seat ect. Women wouldn't.
I think what it is, is. The ones who have been through it think. Well noone treated me like a Queen. I had to get on with it, No one bowed down to me, and the ones that haven't experienced it are jealous and resentful and want to experience it, and none maternal women are not interested in having their own, so you can hardly expect, them to be doing a merry dance about other people's pregnancies.
I do get what you mean about smug pregnant women. They get right on my fucking tits. I remember when a friend was pregnant and you'd never think. There was 7billion people in the world. You'd think shd was the first last and only women to be pregnant.

Ilovewillow · 08/05/2016 22:43

Our first bump later daughter was called "Fred", other than that couldn't agree more! Bump no.2 had no such good nn!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/05/2016 22:44

She wasn't as smug though, when she was facing the sleepless nights.
I wasn't in the least bit smug. Infact I spent the whole time being sick, and grumpy, but
My DD slept like a dream.

FannyFerknackerpan · 08/05/2016 22:47

Aww I think you're being mean OP. Entitled, no. But smug is fine. Good luck to them!

gunting · 08/05/2016 22:49

Oh no I know what you mean.

I can imagine they bow down to Giovanna fletcher the queen of pregnancy smugness. It's all too much for me.

SalemSaberhagen · 08/05/2016 22:52

YANBU! Little bean, sprout etc. Fuck off.

Seeing women rubbing their non existent bellies used to make me laugh. They were gently caressing their internal organs!

Maternity t shirts with slogans are the worst though. 'Hands off the bump', 'kick me baby one more time' etc etc. Vom.

Lol, I think YABpartlyU - I held my bump all the time towards the end but only in private at the beginning during 'awww' moments. I also loved putting bio-oil on it every night, sort of a wee massage for the baby. I also gave DS a pregnancy nn - not a cutesy one, more Greek mythological warrior, but hey if people want to go cutesy fair enough, it's a baby after all! Don't think YABU about the card signing and YAmostdefinatelyNBU about the 'we're pregnant' thing. Does he look like the size of a house? Does he have to pee every 5 minutes? Does he have someone kicking his ribs/bladder all the livelong day AND NIGHT?! Will he have to push that someone out of his tender parts? Then no. He is in no way freakin well pregnant.

Samcro · 08/05/2016 23:08

i was smug.......why not I had sex and was having a baby.....come on no one can beat that!!
Grin

MeLittleDuckie · 08/05/2016 23:08

Urgh Salem I hate those t-shirts and was really scared MIL was going to buy me one and I'd have to wear it...

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 08/05/2016 23:09

I held my bump because it weighed a fucking ton.

georgetteheyersbonnet · 08/05/2016 23:10

I really wish I could have been smug - I was horrendously anxious with AND and several bad things happened whilst pg (family member in ICU, problems at work, landlord tried to evict us, best friend had a stillbirth), which meant I didn't have time to be smug, was constantly terrified of losing the baby, and smugness was the very last thing on my mind. I was and am so envious of those women who float around talking about gym balls, nursery furniture, NCT classes and pregnancy yoga and so on and looking all loved up :(

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/05/2016 23:13

Samcro. Your pregnancy was the result of having sex, never, and here's me thinking that it was the Stork that brought the babies. Grin.

Oysterbabe · 08/05/2016 23:14

I think your post needs more smilies.

MarthaCliffYouCunt · 08/05/2016 23:14

I still hold my bump. DS is 7 Blush

Samcro · 08/05/2016 23:15

liveinalighthousewiththeghost i am so very very sorry. I will report my post
Grin

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/05/2016 23:17

Ha ha, and now I suppose you're going to tell me that, Santa and the Easter bunny aren't real, aren't you. SadGrin

JeanGenie23 · 08/05/2016 23:18

The body is doing an amazing thing, I give women deserve to be a little smug. If that isn't your style then fine just leave others to it.

Live and let live! Smile

JeanGenie23 · 08/05/2016 23:19
