To think two kids is hard work no matter what the age gap

I've got a three year age gap and my friend is about to have her second with a six year gap. She is being a bit "everything will be much easier" after watching me struggle for the last two years and whilst it would be lovely for her if it was easy, I'm guessing there are challenges with a much bigger age gap that I haven't even considered?

I have 11 years between my DS's. My younger son was actually born on the day my oldest started secondary school. For them I think it was nice that they were almost only children and had lots of individual attention (they are close friends even with a big age difference) For me it seems like I have had a young child for almost all of my adult life my first was born when I was 25 the second when I was 36 it is only now in my fifties (youngest is16) that I have the freedom todo what I want and spend quality 1 on 1 time with my DH. If I had my time again I would have them closer together.

Pfa, your friend sounds very smug OP....but does she have fun with her oh so wonderful child?! I find that smug people don't seem to have much fun.
I have 22months between DS 1&2 then 2yr 4mth between DS 2 & 3. Youngest now 12 weeks old. Life is crazy but great fun - we have lots of laughs (I shout like a fish wife more often than I mean to....hazard of the job)!
I agree that it very much depends on the child but my 2 with the 22 month agE gap adore each other and want to do everything together.
