A family member i havent seen in years died last week and the funeral is on tuesday, today they are having a little get together and they asked if dd (2years old) could go i said yes (i wouldnt be going just her) now i know this side of the family have a problem with alcohol so the more i tortured myself with all kinds of situations i have decided that i will go with them. I asked if it would be ok and they said it would but i cant help but think they are being a bit grumpy about it. Not very many of us were close to this family member she spent her last month in a care home

Today was the get together, we're not going to the actual funeral as i dont feel its the place for her to be, the drunks weren't there but the people that were were quite annoyed as shes 'wild' but they aren't used to it as there little boy is timid and my dd is confident and loud

Who are these people?

Your relatives??

Why do you keep avoiding the questions? Who are these people and why weren't you invited? Are they your ex's family or something and the "known relative" is her father?

No its my family, no its not her dad, its my great auntie. I dont know why i wasnt invited, maybe its because i wasnt close to her? Im not prodding them for information..
