Where would itbe?

I'm another who agrees with the Ribble Valley-two lovely market towns, pretty villages and gorgeous countryside. We were there recently and saw the only Quaker house in the world with a view of Pendle Hill is up for sale. Would love to buy it and live there instead of where I am now.

Becomingmom · 07/05/2016 08:08

Billericay, nice schools lots of fields not too far from the beach. Townhouse so my mum can have the bottom floor, no stairs and I can care for her when she's old. Holiday home in either Wells or Heacham. They're my favourite places.

HildurOdegard · 07/05/2016 08:09

Where I am now (and has been mentioned) but in another house with more land.

SaucyJack · 07/05/2016 08:09

Hove or Kemptown.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/05/2016 08:10

South lakes.

Somewhere near the main train line for getting to London.

oldjacksscrote · 07/05/2016 08:12

Dartmouth, somewhere with a lovely river view

Mightywease · 07/05/2016 08:13

If I had the money then a house in Marylebone or a flat overlooking the Thames near Tower Bridge.

massistar · 07/05/2016 08:17

Right where I am in The Mumbles on the Gower coast. Love it here and feel very lucky, especially as a few posters have said it's where they would move to!

BeauGlacons · 07/05/2016 08:17

MissHoolie you just made me smile. I shall always think of you now making a nourishing dinner for your DH and 2.4 children in a verly living and motherly way a la Lynda Bellingham latterly. I just hope I'm not getting mixed up with Bisto.

This morning, listening to the birds and looking out at blossom, rhododendrons and the choisya about to break, I'm very happy where I am.

Purplehonesty · 07/05/2016 08:18

Right here actually. Although I would quite like to move a city a little closer y'know for ease of shopping/culture.

We live very rurally in N Scotland and I love it but sometimes wish things were a wee bit closer

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/05/2016 08:20

Where I live has been mentioned, if I had to move anywhere else, Antrim coast or Bath

pinkmagic1 · 07/05/2016 08:23

Wells next the Sea or a nice cottage in Whitby.

Snowwhiteandrosered · 07/05/2016 08:29

Either Chelsea or Bourne End in Buckinghamshire. Sometimes I dream of living on a remote Scottish Island. Smile

AppleSetsSail · 07/05/2016 08:31

Castle Coombe. But I am very happy in London for the time being.

Legoisforlosers · 07/05/2016 08:33

Where I live now. Central London.

Bonywasawarriorwayayix · 07/05/2016 08:35

Back home to North Pembrokeshire. East Anglia has been good to me, but it's so flat and we're too far from the sea.

bastedyoungturkey · 07/05/2016 08:35

I'd move to the Isle of Wight in a heartbeat. Dp knows he only has to say the word. I long to be there and just feel a sense of calm as soon as I get on the ferry. We live in the landlocked Midlands and while it's lovely here I just yearn to be near the sea.

Greydog · 07/05/2016 08:36

Wells, or Sidmouth. I hate the house I live in, but I'm lucky enough to own it, so it's a case of put up and shut up, and visit the others on holiday!

workshyfop · 07/05/2016 09:03

Durham City, the most beautiful city in the world

OnePlanOnHouzz · 07/05/2016 09:16

If the weather, company and seating is comfortable, I'm pretty happy anywhere !! Throw in a pimms and I'm ecstatic !!!

witsender · 07/05/2016 09:17

We live on the Isle of Wight. I would only change it for the Cornish Coast, Gower or a remote Scottish Island. There's a theme there I think...quiet with not many people!

scaryteacher · 07/05/2016 09:28

Abroad as well, and missing my place in Cornwall. I would also like a regency house in Bath; I adore Winchester and Cambridge (the latter for the bookshops and Fitzbillies chelsea buns), and ultimately I want to move just back over the border to Tavistock/Whitchurch when we are about to hit 70, so we don't have to drive everywhere.

elephantoverthehill · 07/05/2016 09:54

Witsender I live there too.

Terrifiedandregretful · 07/05/2016 11:08

Either In Newcastle or a Northumberland town like Hexham. A stunning coastline, countryside and a great city all in one! Mind you, I live in south east London and I love that too.

susiella · 07/05/2016 11:20

Easington, near Hull. 5 1/2 years to go, daughter finishing school + we are off!
