I think I need people to talk me down from my state of panic.

We are in the process of applying for a mortgage. Everything is set to go.

Valuation done and bank have requested more documents on Tuesday.

One of the documents from my DP accountant came back unsigned. It's all official etc but no sig.

They aren't the most efficient and we've not heard back since Wednesday. I'm gutted it's now the weekend.

AIBU just to sign it? If it was followed up its not like he didn't write it.

Whose signature would you be faking? Your accountant's? Or your DP's?

NickyEds · 06/05/2016 16:28

Is it your signature it requires? Does it have to be witnessed or something?

nervousinthenorth78 · 06/05/2016 16:30

The accountants Confused

It would be unreasonable to sign it as you could potentially get in a lot of trouble.

Envigi · 06/05/2016 16:37

Don't sign it , you could get into a lot of trouble for faking someone's signature, it's not worth the possible hassle

nervousinthenorth78 · 06/05/2016 16:38

Thanks I just thought people might say they would Confused

Just need to chill out - stressful house buying

PPie10 · 06/05/2016 16:55

Why on earth did you even think you could do that??

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/05/2016 17:10

That would be a big fat hell no from everyone!

GrimmauldPlace · 06/05/2016 17:14

You're in panic mode so not thinking rationally. But yes, agree with everyone else with a big fat NO! Hope it doesn't mess things up too much

Don't sign it. It is fraud!
Is there any way you can turn up at the accountants (thermos and biscuits if need be) and do a sit in at the accountant until s/he signs it there and then?

nervousinthenorth78 · 06/05/2016 17:46

Yes I will, it's just now hanging over me this weekend.

If there is nothing you can do, there is nothing to worry about. The only point of worrying is to find solutions. Just wait, be clam and it will all be OK. Brew
