The business at the end of our road has a lovely new security system. It appears that it is a motion activated loudspeaker. It says something along the lines of "This is xxxx security. All cctv is monitored and the tapes are handed over to the local police"

I know it says this because I can hear it. On average once an hour, between the hours of 6pm and 8am. It wakes me up and I live halfway down the street and sleep at the back of the house.

WIB totally U to go have a nice polite word with someone in the business today?

NO - go and speak to them. The system mught need adjusting. If it doesn't get you anywhere then speak to the Environmental Health people at the Council.

Nothing quite like hearing a "We got a woman wants to have a moan about our alarm" from down the corridor.

Anyway they don't think it's them. I'll have to record it I guess.

Thing is , if it goes off so often if they did get broken into no one would bat an eye lid or call the polis.
Also now that they've broadcast to the whole area that there is cctv any burglar will know to wear a disguise..

Try your council environmental health dept.
