Has it been taken down?

The date one? Absolutely Crunch. Even the posting style dramatically altered. It was painfully obvious it was a troll.

CaptainCrunch · 02/05/2016 10:24

And I did wonder about the motives of this op too, agree that if you had posted on the original thread you would have got the same deletion message as everyone else and not needed to ask about it.

CaptainCrunch · 02/05/2016 10:25

Yes the date one Paul. Smile

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 02/05/2016 10:26

Captain, this OP, Polly apparently posted supportive PMs to the troll-OP, and is disappointed not to have received a 'thank you'. I don't think she posted on the thread itself as you say.

MrsRyanGosling15 · 02/05/2016 10:31

Troll or not, some of the replies, from people on this very thread, were horrible and nasty. And they were like that from the start. No one owes you an update. I would be embarrassed if I was one of those posters. Always the same people though.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 02/05/2016 10:32

She was on another forum asking to ways to rile up MN. They couldn't think of a believable ending, it caused a bun fight on that thread too, she pretended she couldn't update because it was complex and we wouldn't understand.

No one wins. MN showed how easily it is annoyed, she looked like a fool, the other forum irritated itself.

WellErrr · 02/05/2016 10:37

What was the other forum?

WellErrr · 02/05/2016 10:38

Troll or not, some of the replies, from people on this very thread, were horrible and nasty. And they were like that from the start. No one owes you an update. I would be embarrassed if I was one of those posters. Always the same people though.

I completely and utterly agree with this.

WellErrr · 02/05/2016 10:42

All the sanctimonious guff some people wrote "some of you need an email / long hard look at yourself" were just hilarious. You were totally sucked in and can't just admit you were duped by a daft troll.

No one 'sucked in' here. Didn't even read the thread until last night when I was disgusted by the pack nastiness of a core group of nasty posters. I also reported the thread before posting.

There was just no excuse for such nasty twattery from the core pack. If you think it's a troll, report and move on. I do it all the time.
Don't just get your kicks from slapping each other on the back about who can be the most witty arsehole for hours on end.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 02/05/2016 10:43

Ooooh, intriguing ADDB!

But seriously, why pm people? Why not let them know you support them on the thread itself?

I've had pms out of the blue which I've ignored, mostly because I don't want to get into yet another conversation. If I've created a thread or been a participant in someone else's thread, then that means I want an open debate, therefore I don't want or welcome private messages (on the whole).

springtimevintagedream · 02/05/2016 10:45

Exactly, bibbity!

PaulAnkaTheDog · 02/05/2016 10:45

You're complaining about nastiness but calling people arseholes and twats WellErr...

PollyPerky · 02/05/2016 10:48

Lying maybe you should make sure of the facts before you start attacking people? I posted on the original thread several times.

I'm not sure what you mean about 'got the deletion message'? Those messages are only up for a short amount of time - I think MNHQ say they give posters 30 minutes warning before they pull a thread. ( that's my experience of other threads that are pulled) so no, I didn't see it- I was out for part of the day. That's maybe just why I posted this today, eh?

I did post several times early on, on the thread, and for the main part was being supportive because I felt the OP was being given a hard time. I sent her a PM also saying I was sorry she was being given a hard time.

Ok, she was troll. Question answered. That's why I posted this today and viola! Problem solved.

Bloody hell I have been looking for that!

PaulAnkaTheDog · 02/05/2016 10:52

If you posted on a thread you will see the deletion message for it in 'I'm On', look there and you'll see it Smile

murphyslaws · 02/05/2016 10:52

Where has the other one gone about husband going on about his wife being useless???

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 02/05/2016 10:53

Polly... When you post on a thread, it's added to your 'watched conversations'. It stays on there. If the thread is added to you'll see the new messages above yours. If it's deleted, you will see a deletion message from MNHQ.

That is a fact so if you posted, go and read the deletion message on 'threads I'm on'. It will be there.

DaveCamoron · 02/05/2016 10:56

I posted on the thread about the wife earning £6k a month and it's gone, no deletion message either...

Sallystyle · 02/05/2016 10:56

People gave up some of their Sunday to help her Grin

How unselfish of them!

thecatsarecrazy · 02/05/2016 10:59

Lots of people reported it including me because it was 19 pages of bollocks

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 02/05/2016 11:02

Dave... well everyone else seems to have the deletion message for this particular thread so hopefully Polly will find it in her 'threads I'm on'.

If I've taken threads off my watched list though, it disappears, deletion message and all.

SuperFlyHigh · 02/05/2016 11:06

MrsRyan and WellErr. I love the fact that I'm obviously with Paul, Captain et al hoisted into being part of a pack of let's kick her vipers...

As I said to MN yesterday it'd be nice to have a viper emoticon (a bit like a snake).

I was also going down the line of thinking troll... But I don't troll hunt (that's in my other job!) Grin

It is hilarious how the OP in this one obviously thought she was lovely but she was I agree but obtuse, non answering (yes she didn't have to answer) and a bit rude herself. Then you got all the sarky or real "are you ok Hun?!" Which I can never work out if sarky or actually ok then you got the vipers who obviously hissed at her wanting a reply.

Whatever it was something wasn't right so it was deleted. It was interesting with her SN (a bit teenager) that it was her very first post here. I always check that one. Wink

SuperFlyHigh · 02/05/2016 11:07

Dave that one was hilarious didn't bother to post but so obviously a lie, who the heck gets 6k a month doing admin never heard of that in a million years and if so where can I apply??

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 02/05/2016 11:16

I can't help thinking that if I posted a goady, trolly bullshit attention seeking untrue load of old bollocks I'd be highly disappointed if I didn't get a good kicking for my trouble. Amazed at you people weeping for the troll.

gingergenie · 02/05/2016 11:32

I posted a couple of weeks ago and got well and truly trashed for being a troll. I really really wasn't and it was genuine issue that I needed feedback on because I was so horrified. I was deleted and my account was frozen! I was a first time poster. I hid in the corner and rocked back and forth for a bit. It was all very scary!MN is a funny place!
