Cake decorating - help!

Made some cupcakes and attached rice paper toppers to them, all good.

Also have a bought cake with icing on which is dry and would like to attach some of the cupcake toppers on it.

How can I do this - party in 2 hours!

TIA

You can use a small amount of buttercream to stick on the toppers. Just a small blob on each topper. Or mix some icing sugar and egg white together for a firmer hold.

Rice paper will probably stick with just a small amount of water brushed on to make the icing sticky, although maybe text one to make sure the ink doesn't run on the toppers.

Thought about water but too many comments saying it doesn't work has scared me!

And the icing sugar option apparently takes ages to dry?

Hadn't thought of buttercream...
