To think that junior doctors shouldn't strike

They're fucking PROFFESSIONALS, and they are endangering people's health because they want a fucking PAY RISE!! Am I unreasonable to think that if they respected people's health more, then people would respect THEM more and maybe pay them more!! I mean, no emergency cover? What are you supposed to do if you have an appt booked for that day? Wait another six weeks?? I think the junior doctors really need to buck their ideas up....

They bloody should strike and I'd strike with them if I could.

OP, where on earth did you get the idea that doctors are striking for a pay-rise? That simply isn't true.

Think it through. Use logic. If hospitals move from a five-day service to a seven-day service, there are more hours to be worked. So you need more staff. But Jeremy Cunt doesn't want to employ more staff, he wants to 'rearrange' things so that these extra hours are magically covered. Except they aren't, not without working hours being so long as to be unsafe.

TBH, I can't understand JC's concentration on the junior doctors. What is needed is for the rest of a hospital's services to become seven-day, such as physio, OT etc. It is the lack of these at the weekends that causes the bottlenecks.

I really really hope that the OP is one of Jeremy's minions, sent along to see what public feeling is. There's seems to be a fairly strong feeling, Jeremy, that you're not fit to wipe the boots of the people who work in the NHS. Shame on you.

There are times when I think some people's thought processes aren't up to everyday life let alone such responsibilities as voting and sitting on a jury. The OP is so dense it's cringeworthy.

Ha ha ha I didn't realise people were actually this stupid. I dont know anyone in real life that doesn't support the strike. Doesn't it tell you something that they are being massively supported by nurses op??

Op do you know anyone that works in a hospital? You seem very narrow minded. And a daily Mail reader.

Hi gang, you've probably guessed that this is a PBP increasing his or her stash of acronyms with not only GF but SPing. Shall we just get rid of the thread or do you guys think it serves some purpose?

YABU.

It's not about 'wanting a payrise'. Do you know how much junior doctors earn? It's not much, trust me. And the hours they are made to work... it's appaling

Buzzardbird · 27/04/2016 19:15

Thank you Starling

They are not really coming back with a counter argument though are they? Bit boring.

YABU. it's not just because they want a pay rise it's much more than that. Also they are not endangering people's lives. Senior Doctors and consultants are covering emergencies
