To feel a bit lost at work

The nature of my work means I'm in and out of places, never get a real chance to make relationships or form strong bonds.

AIBU to feel a bit displaced and lonely somehow? Can anybody empathise?

Do you have lots of friends outside work?

Lilaclily · 26/04/2016 18:38

Or could you organise to meet up with the colleagues you don't see socially ?

sunnywaters · 26/04/2016 18:39

I don't have colleagues, Lilac, this is the problem really!

Totally empathise with you! I had a job like this: very busy secondary school but tiny little office on my own. School staff didn't know I existed as was technically employed by the council. I left in the end as was too lonely but the office I'm in now isn't much better (3 people). I've lived in the area for a year now and have no work friends.
Hope you do better than me Biscuit

Thanks, it is lonely. Am looking at other options as feel weird (I'm also in a school!)

Your absolutely right to feel like this and if possible maybe think about trying to change it.
