Ugh agree, mini Gaston loves being in there but she just managed a surprise chunky chunder all over the music bit. Think I'm going to have to sacrifice a toothbrush to sort that mess out

I was told that they aren't a good idea by my HV as they hold babies in a standing position for too little long. No idea if that is a thing. You're right about the cleanliness thing.

They aren't good if the baby is in them too long, no as it puts them in an unnatural position. But 20 minutes is fine. Same with baby walkers.

Agreed. Absolute waste of money. Not good for physical development (holds them in an unnatural positioning- bad for posture, core & balance) hard to clean, only limited range of use & play, they take up to much space and they are ugly. Can't think of a single thing going for them actually.

My 19 month old has long since grown out if it but I used to keep it in the bathroom and pop her in it whilst I had a shower.

Yanbu. Fold up bouncy chair does the job if you need to put baby somewhere for a bit. Those things are so pointless, expensive and take up too much space.

Plus they're only used for such a short time because people immediately regret buying them babies grow out of them so fast, hence the endless ones for sale on my local FB selling pages "cost £70 new, want £60, needs a clean" bloody clean it then if you want £60! (vom face that is)

I was given one by a friend second hand and I love/hate it. Mini orchid adores it and will happily bop around in it for twenty minutes while I do stuff with boiling water and knives that he is not allowed to help me with. But it is fugly, massive, and gets quite grotty. Although I put one of the squishy toy bits through the washing machine when it got manky, and it came out well, so that might help remove some of the vom and drool for pps?

I had a jumperoo alongside a newborn and an autistic toddler. The jumperoo saved my sanity.

It dismantled fine for cleaning. You just need to be thorough. And yes a toothbrush is a good idea.

Just think of them in all in landfills for the next thousand or so years.....

Our local recycling centre recycles hard plastic. Not many broken baby toys in landfill round here thankfully!

A cocktail stick gets in all those tiny spaces!!
