I REALLY want to know what is going on!

AIBU - sounds like I'm being nosey but WTAF is going on.

Live in a street, detached house but houses close together, new estate.

Last night, around 12 uniformed Police & 2 plain clothes arrive NEXT door. Outside for about 30mins no police cars/vans just a lot of radioing/phone usage.

Half the police then go round the back of said neighbours house into their garden.

Nothing, no drama in the street, no one taken out the house etc. Hour later all police disappear.

I'm just hanging around in my house now & 3 marked police vans arrive again, all get out, try and gain entry again to next door.

A. I'm a bit of a "hate this sort of thing going on outside my house etc as the police vans parked outside MY house (great!!!)

B. Jesus what is going on to warrant so many police?

C. Fuck sake!

D. Where the hell ARE my neighbours?

E. This will out me (hopefully not) but ZZ lister lives there

F. I actually hope they are ok!?

So my question is AIBU to want to know what the hell is going on????

A copper will never tell a next door neighbour anything about what is going on.
You coukd try getting them on side by offering a cuppa and piece of cake... god they'd love you then. But I'm sure they still won't tell you.

Having eaten the cake (or doughnut, even better) you say to them "Is this about the drugs next door again?" all exasperated like, and they might accidentally confirm it is drugs.
No way it's a safe and well, they wouldn't send out that many for a safe and well.

Or you could pretend to have a key and ask if it's serious/to check they're ok (but if they do need it then you'll have to have lost it....) (don't really do that one)

OP stop having a life! You need to be sitting by those curtains 24/7 till the Z list celebrity is guessed (lol'd at do they wear glasses?) and the copper mystery is solved.

Sorry to be a party pooper but OP, please don't be pressurised into naming the person who lives in the house as you could get in all sorts of trouble for defamation.

They do this on my street sometimes with this one certain family and I'm so nosy it annoys the hell out of me that I don't know why they are there that often

I'm back.

Stockbloom is not far off said triple Z lister.

So the triple Z listers car is back & school run is shortly right? (kid in there) so if the feds are coming back again, they might come then.

My car 100% needs a clean so I think around 3:30 I'll get a soapy water bucket & sponge going .....with my 2 year old (is that dangerous & then I'll end up in jail myself what with this "nannying" society)

"Police raid on quiet street, toddler reported cleaning a car equals slave labour & child neglect or some shit"

Right that's it, I'm going round the neighbour & asking for sugar as I've run out.....

If I put the rubbish out a 3rd time I'll run out of bin bags FFS!!!!!!

Hmmm, possibly this family has had a traumatic experience- threats, stalker, think of Lilly Allen's recent experiences. Do they really need their neighbours goggling at the them?

I watch a lot of CSI/Law & Order type programmes so am I complete expert... I'm struggling to think of any reason they'd send 12 police to someone's house with no warrant to gain entry to the property. Maybe the zz lister had organised a BBQ/party for the local police but forgotten or got called away for a family emergency?

Ohhh Place marking too.
I lived in a flat last year and two riot vans turned up full of police with dogs and sheilds. They got let into the flat opposite and then came out about 30 mins later, not arresting anyone or bringing anything out, then they were looking around his car. Then they left!
We hadnt seen his gf for a few weeks, the car was hers and the last time we had seen her they were having a row in the street. Perhaps she was in the boot??
