Really I'm just looking for you all to talk me into this and say it's fine. I normally spend £2 - £3 but recently got a free sample of L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil and I'm not exaggerating here but IT's AMAZING. My sample is nearly out (although it lasted nearly two weeks!) and I really want to get a bottle but just feel like it's crazy indulgence!

It's my favourite, I buy it now and then and dp buys as a gift. A bottle lasts about 6m.

Mind you, Tesco also do a shower oil which I really liked and was more like £5.

It's my desert island product and I have to hide it from the rest of the family. QVC have some good offers when I stockpile, especially when there's no p&p. In between if you go through Topcashback you can get about 5% I think and they often have links to freebies after a minimum spend on the L Occitane website. I got some great mini hand creams at Christmas which made good presents this way.
The almond oil body cream is fabulous too.

I really like L'Occitane stuff too. I get it for birthdays and christmas but also (secretly) buy it in between. I hide the shower gel so that nobody else in the family uses it..

Damn you MN. This thread got me thinking and thinking ... I ended up making a special (rushed) trip into town today to check it out! I hate marzipan/almonds and needed to smell it.. The girl in the shop made me a little bowl of water to try it ... IT IS LUSH! nothing like marzipan at all. I ended up leaving the shop with a bottle and larger refill for £35. DC's are just settling and I have been looking forward to having a shower for ages! I'm going in.....

I have it - it's lovely.

Yes it's expensive but I suffer from eczema and my skin is really dry. It makes a huge difference.

If I could find something as good and cheaper I would - will watch thread for any suggestions Grin

Sounds lovely - however my kids are allergic to nuts, I wonder if this would give them problems if they come into contact with it...

Perhaps I could attempt a little by way of a desensitisation experiment Hmm

I have it too - and love it.
Perfect for my parched itchy legs.
I also hide it from the rest of the family Grin

Germgirl · 18/04/2016 14:22

I knew it'd be the L'Occitane. I love it. I'm having to use Hibiscrub to wash with at the moment which is making my skin horribly dry but isn't actually doing what it should be doing. Im very close to giving up with it & going back to my lovely Almond Oil.
