Really I'm just looking for you all to talk me into this and say it's fine. I normally spend £2 - £3 but recently got a free sample of L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil and I'm not exaggerating here but IT's AMAZING. My sample is nearly out (although it lasted nearly two weeks!) and I really want to get a bottle but just feel like it's crazy indulgence!

Try aromatherapy associates stuff. Even better than L'ocittane and that is fantastic. Buy it. YOLO

TheNaze73 · 13/04/2016 22:00

Go for it! A 20 a day smoker, would spend more than that in 2 days.

CazY777 · 13/04/2016 22:13

I'm selling a very small bottle of this on eBay with some other loccitane stuff, but if it doesn't sell may use it myself if it's that good!

InSpaceNooneCanHearYouScream · 13/04/2016 22:22

How many squirts are you using on your puff thingies for your whole body?

ihatethecold · 14/04/2016 06:51

I don't use a puff thingy but I probably use 3 squirts of oil each time I have a shower.

newmumwithquestions · 14/04/2016 07:00

YABU. Purely because you have convinced me that I have to try it. I am currently not working so buy all my shower gel from the pound shop so am not sure I can justify it... I want it though.

TeaAndBisquits · 14/04/2016 07:24

I think I need to invest in some of this from everyone's rave reviews! Darn you MN!

ImogenTubbs · 14/04/2016 07:30

Do it. I absolutely LOVE L'Occitane sweet almond hand soap but they don't make it anymore. I've discovered that the only place you can still buy it is QVC so I bulk buy every now and then. What I'll do when they run out, I don't know.

CherryBlossom321 · 14/04/2016 07:33

YANBU. It's worth every penny. But do join QVC to get the best value on L'occitane, and a number of other lovely brands.

magicstar1 · 14/04/2016 07:44

I buy L'Occitane stuff for my BIL every Christmas, but I've never tried it. This thread makes me want the oil now lol. I've checked and its on special with the refill for €44...I get my wages this week so I'm going to get it Grin

Merrylegs · 14/04/2016 08:35

I used to love L'Occitane stuff, but have become more aware of cruelty free brands because of DD who is v vigilant in that regard. Unfortunately l'Occitane have a bit of a spurious stance on this (you can read it on their website and make up your own mind). Peta also list them as not cruelty free. (If that kind of thing interests you)

I also wondered if this was going to be about the l'Occitane almond shower oil - mainly because I have that price fixed in my mind but rarely feel I can justify spending that much. Instead, I usually ask for vouchers at Xmas and birthdays and spend wisely when they have special offers on such as the free or much reduced sample/travel sized collections when you spend £xx etc.

However I had no idea you could buy it via QVC - have just had a quick look and there seem to be some decent bargains to be had. Will definitely look properly later ..... I noticed quite a few items cheaper than the shop .... so thanks very much to the people who mentioned this.

theDuchessInTheDodgeCharger · 14/04/2016 16:09

L'Occitane is fab and I know just how you feel, I had a bottle of the Almond Shower Oil a while ago, loved it!!!
Their Creme Divine and Creme Precieuse are excellent for the face too.

Waiting eagerly for next Christmas, as my Mum often buys it for me ( I'm French ....)

westcoastnortherneragain · 14/04/2016 16:31

I have the almond oil IT'S AMAZING!!! Also buy the moisturizer too....

TheBoysMamma · 14/04/2016 16:46

Would anyone mind posting the ingredients or a pic of the bottle with ingredients please?
This sounds like it could be great for my dry skin but I am allergic to a few things often found in shower gels :(

Oh and definitely treat yourself OP :)

Ladybirdbookworm · 14/04/2016 17:14

Ooh my daughter got a bottle of this for her birthday so I'm off now to see if I can find it ....... I need to try it now myself ASAP

whyistherumgone · 14/04/2016 17:19

I'll take a pic of the back of my sample bottle when I get in TheBoys

Thanks Whyistherumgone :)

ICanSeeForMiles · 14/04/2016 18:01

I've never tried this one.. will need to put it on my list. I use the Verbena shower gel.. and had a fab bargain from QVC, a 500ml bottle and 2 refills for 30 odd quid. Their solid soaps were awful on my skin though, so drying.

Veryflummoxed · 14/04/2016 18:21

Do it. A little goes a long way. Smells fantastic brilliant for dry skin. Go for 500ml bottles with pump action when available then the refills. I use the shampoo and conditioner as well. Lasts ages

Lukesme · 14/04/2016 19:23

Get it. I use only Neal's yard stuff which is expensive but I need very little everyday. I don't spend much on myself i could afford to but cant be botheres \ dont have the time.I just love the feeling of showering in good stuff a minute or two of luxury everyday. That's enough I would die rather than go to a spar or beauty place the posh toiletries are my daily minispar

Rainbunny · 14/04/2016 22:07

Sorry I haven't read the posts on this thread but as soon as I saw the title I immediately wondered if it would be the Almond shower oil from L'Occitane!! I've been addicted to it for for years, I don't use it everyday though. I have the body oil as well... It's the small extravagances that make life worth living sometimes :)

WakeUpFast · 14/04/2016 22:10

Just buy it. Life's too short to start worrying about being too indulgent once in a while. Enjoy it!

learnermummy · 14/04/2016 22:18

Ooh someone bought me this, had no idea it was that pricey! I will appreciate it even more now. It is lovely!
