Really I'm just looking for you all to talk me into this and say it's fine. I normally spend £2 - £3 but recently got a free sample of L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil and I'm not exaggerating here but IT's AMAZING. My sample is nearly out (although it lasted nearly two weeks!) and I really want to get a bottle but just feel like it's crazy indulgence!

What does it smell like? Are we talking a marzipanish smell?

whatsmyusername · 13/04/2016 20:20

Does it get rid of baby jelly belly also :-) esp if I apply along side other heathy items Wine Cake

If you love it do it we all deserve a treat

Notagainmun · 13/04/2016 20:21

It is a light and fresh almond smell.

DiscoGlitter · 13/04/2016 20:46

Can you easily afford it without forgoing over stuff? Does it spark joy?! Grin
If so, YES. Go get. Grin

whyistherumgone · 13/04/2016 20:49

Disco it definitely sparks joy! :D Much joy.
It's not so much a marzipan scent it's lighter and fresher than that and more perfumey if that makes sense?

No qvc are very good, you get a thirty day money back guarantee too 😃

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 13/04/2016 20:52

Is it good for dry skin? My legs are permanently parched.

smalllondon · 13/04/2016 20:56

Do it! You wear your skin every day so treat it!
I am lucky enough to always get bottles of this for xmas and birthdays

Skittlesss · 13/04/2016 20:58

Yes, Madame, lovely for dry skin and you can use it as a shaving oil as well

ihatethecold · 13/04/2016 20:59

A bottle will last about 4/5 months if it's only you using it.
I love it.
So worth it.

PetrolBastard · 13/04/2016 21:00

Get it! What price can you put on happiness? It's a bargain!

whyistherumgone · 13/04/2016 21:07

Yes Madame join me, get some! You're very wise Petrol, I love it so much I've just signed up to QVC so I can take advantage of the offer. Now just need to hide it somewhere from DP who turns his nose up at all my toiletries except the expensive ones - it's like he has a radar for it. I still weep when I think of him smothering his face in my pricey rosehip oil after shaving. I couldn't work out why a bottle than normally lasts three months lasted two weeks.

that bottle and refill is only £35 on the l'occitane site...free postage, and presumably freebies as well

JamesBlonde1 · 13/04/2016 21:11

Buy it!! It's lovely and you only need a tiny bit.

Laus13 · 13/04/2016 21:13

I LOVE it and the bottle lasts months! They had an offer on recently of a full bottle plus refill. The refill filled my old bottle and there's easily 1/2 a bottle again.
It's great to shave with too!

Ledkr · 13/04/2016 21:13

E bay often has cheap ones I love it too

CakeNinja · 13/04/2016 21:16

Ooh now I'm going to jump on the band wagon!
I always buy L'Occitane for MiL and a friend who loves the cherry blossom (??) range, they do a big box of it at Christmas and it's her fave.
Never considered it for myself though, until now...
The only thing I dislike about it is their cheap looking plasticky bottles, but they would live in the cupboard so I could get over that little hurdle Grin

isambardo · 13/04/2016 21:16

Yanbu, I got some for my birthday and its bloody lovely. DH keeps nicking it, the git

MissTurnstiles · 13/04/2016 21:19

Does it make the shower slippery?

AddToBasket · 13/04/2016 21:23

I really want to try this now! Where sells L'Occitane? I need a sniff.

CakeNinja · 13/04/2016 21:27

There are concessions in JL and possibly HoF if you can't get to an actual L'Occitane!

Oh yes, I wanted to ask if it made the shower slippy too, I'm imagining it really does?! Do you put it on a puff thingy (so is it really like a shower gel?) or directly on to your body?

Thecatknowsshesboss · 13/04/2016 21:28

Think marks and spencer now sell l'occitane as well.

I'm another one tempted as all my subtle hints at Christmas failed and I ended up with jo Malone instead of L'occitane. I've tried the lemon verbana shower gel which is gorgeous and so want to try the almond oil as well as I love the scent of almonds.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2016 21:28

Miss no the shower isn't left slippery, it is a weird thing, it emulsifies in water (I use a BodyShop buff thing)
The most recent one I had was a pump bottle, the smaller one IIRC had a push top so doesn't come glugging out.
I smell my arms at every opportunity when I use it Blush

The almond body scrub in the tube is brilliant too

AddToBasket · 13/04/2016 21:28

I will be in to JL tomorrow :)

MargotsDevil · 13/04/2016 21:33

I KNEW this is the shower oil you'd be talking about! Definitely worth the money and I'd also suggest duty free if possible - I got a massive bottle (I think twice the size of the standard) for £23 last year and it's still going strong!
