It encourages the worst sort of nasty, libellous speculation, creepy fan obsessing and vicious gossip mongering.

It is inhabited by the type of posters who would feel very comfortable on the Sidebar of Shame.

It is not in the spirit of the mumsnet site - celebrities are parents too and it is in no way a happy and supportive place.

AIBU to think that it is surplus to the requirements of Mumsnet and shouldn't be there?

Poor bloke wants to discuss Kanye

You mean "poor troll"

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 22:47

He was really really odd.

Well said mademoiselle, that is entirely what happened.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2016 23:16

I am not sure if PBP Maryz it was all a bit weird.

mrsfitzpatrick · 12/04/2016 23:37

He was a poor lonely bloke desperate to discuss Kanye and he really liked his lyrics. He had posted in the RIGHT forum and was hoping to discuss. Nothing weird in that.
There were some very unkind comments.
Who gives you guys the right to determine whats to be made fun of? This might have been a posters first venture into trying to make friends online and some bored mums decide to absolutly kill his thread? Do any of you actually think before you post?

SoupDragon · 13/04/2016 10:15

Yes, I think before I post and I can not believe you mean a single word of what you've just written.

SoupDragon · 13/04/2016 10:17

I'm surprised you even know about the Kanye that anyway. Was it your first foray into MN too? If so, welcome :)

SoupDragon · 13/04/2016 10:17

Thread, not that.

OrangesandLemonsNow · 13/04/2016 10:22

He was a poor lonely bloke

How do you know?

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2016 10:24

He wasn't that poor he was going to take his 15 year old DD to a Kanye concert. That costs £££££s....

OrangesandLemonsNow · 13/04/2016 10:26

some bored mums decide to absolutly kill his thread?

Firstly how do you know the status of posters. Not all are even female for starters.

Do any of you actually think before you post?

Yes thank you.

Chippednailvarnish · 13/04/2016 10:36

I'm wondering how long this thread will last if you're not allowed to discuss other threads...

Chippednailvarnish · 13/04/2016 10:37

or be bitchy!

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2016 11:05

I am not sure what you are allowed to post any more.

Guitargirl · 13/04/2016 11:29

Grin at desperate to discuss Kanye

PortiaCastis · 13/04/2016 11:54

If the Kanye guy was desperate to discuss his idol why did he post on Mumsnet. Why not post on a music forum?
MNHQ deleted the thread saying the poster was not all he seemed.
As far as I know that means they thought he was iffy so that's good enough for me

SymphonyofShadows · 13/04/2016 12:02

He was hardly discussing, it was agree with him or get shouted down. I saw at least one personal attack by him on another poster before I decided it was best if I quietly left the thread.

I'm still annoyed that I've been robbed of the chance to see what the babygaters think of Louis' new Instagram posts.

WHAT MESSAGE IS IN HIS NEW SELFIE?

Chippednailvarnish · 13/04/2016 12:39

Maryz I'd refer you to my other thread if hadn't been deleted...

I've had a message from her, nothing particularly descriptive.

I'm guessing someone moaned about the "pack mentality" Grin
