To think Push plugs in sink are the most stupid invention ever?

Ours keeps getting jammed because of limescale, even if i clean it regularly.

Who's idea was it to invent plugs you have to push down to make pop back up?

I spend a lot of time telling people how crap they are and STILL they make me install them pop up wankers if you ask me!

They also constantly pop back up if I hand wash something in the basin due to the "kneading down" action. Pointless!

i have now told DH its coming out and i will go in search of a rubber one to fit the hole!

I thought my moms with the stupid doo-hickey/lever on the tap was bad enough, but this thing is satan in plug form!

We have one of these in the bath, and it's in the middle, not even at the tap end! Every time anyone has a bath they sit on it and it pops up, the DC often don't realise until half the bath water has gone. And, to unclog it from hair etc I have to take the bath panel off and unscrew the pipe to clean it out from underneath.

Yes! People who KNOW! Also, we need to use a plunger in our sink as it gets blocked often. Ever Tried using a plunger in a push plug sink? It just sucks the plug up/ pushes it closed. Makes me want to weep, throw the whole thing out the window, and wash in a stream. Or just have NORMAL FUCKING plugs

Hate the one I have in my bathroom sink, DS got a piece of Lego stuck under it today and freaked out! Had to dismantle it to get it out.

When you've not been focusing and have run a sink full!of scalding hot water, and need to let some water out to out some cold in, but you can't put your hand in the water because it is too hot...

Stupid invention.

YANBU ours jammed. I had it replaced with one which is a disc that swizzles when you poke it. Much better and still looks nice!
