Peoples experience of winning competitions?

Just curious if people actually win these things! I have been.entering competitions online & from magazines for years, just for fun, when dc are in bed at night. They always show 'last weeks competition winners' ...has anyone here ever won, cash prize or holidays in particular?

I used to subscribe to Competitors Companion years ago and won some expensive garden furniture, still have it now. I've also won a couple of sets of theatre tickets and a few little bits. Lately, I've been entering quite a lot of competitions online and just this week joined MSE. My aim is to win our next holiday and a new car, I live in hope.....
