Child benefit

Sorry to post here but I have a mortgage application tomorrow and can't find my child benefit letter. I have the number and a copy of my bank statement though. Does anyone know if this will be enough proof for nationwide or will they need the letter?
Thanks!

When I got my mortgage a few years back all I needed was wage slips and bank statements.

Fratelli · 31/03/2016 19:51

Thanks. They've asked for proof of child benefit!

Can you print of a bank statement and highlight the entry where the child.benefit goes.in?

dementedpixie · 31/03/2016 19:52

Does the payment not show as going into your account?

MunchMunch · 31/03/2016 19:54

I'd have thought you could use a bank recent bank statement which show child benefit payments.

Fratelli · 31/03/2016 19:59

Thanks yes it does show and my child benefit number is shown on the statement too. We have to take last months bank statement in anyway so hoping that will be fine!

Nationwide approved our mortgage without seeing bank statements or the child benefit letter so you might not need it.

We needed the award letter and corresponding bank entry on the statement.
