'We've deleted this thread because Maui'

Mumsnet Gold! Had me properly howling. Well played MNHQ, well played.

Wish I'd seen how the thread panned out though! Wink

Noooooo.... Which thread went poof and why?

nomorechocolate2016 · 31/03/2016 14:43

I don't get it. Is it a pun?

Eachpeachpearplum1985 · 31/03/2016 14:45

Oh I missed the rug one? What happened?!

GreyAndGoldInTheMeadow · 31/03/2016 14:46

Obviously one of those 'you had to be there' thingsConfused

Vixxfacee · 31/03/2016 14:47

Those threads are the best.

Come back heyhailey/pippapavlova I suggest mauimaureen as your next name.

Notimefortossers · 31/03/2016 14:59

In the rug thread she had said she would babysit her friends 4 year old twins for the afternoon. Said twins ruined her brand new white throw rug and crayoned on her chairs even though she had set ground rules before they entered the house. WSBU to refuse to babysit again as her and DP were SO close (she could reveal) to buying their new sofa Grin

I honestly think she is real Shock

Please don't let her be banned!!!

Notimefortossers · 31/03/2016 15:04

I think she's real too . . . but you can see where one might have their doubts Wink

OP posts:
lborolass · 31/03/2016 15:05

I don't understand it either, can you explain please

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 31/03/2016 15:06

Shock Shock Shock

Just look at the letters I drew on Scrabble - and this is the exact order they came out in Shock

To think this was the best deletion message EVER?!
SqueegyBeckinheim · 31/03/2016 15:09

The best hayley quote from that thread for me was, and I'm quoting from memory so I might not have it excatly "and you'll be glad to know we've FINALLY ordered our new sofa".

So glad Hayley, so so glad.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 31/03/2016 15:10

Is this going to be the new 'prove you're a real mumsnetter' item?

I.E. I've NC but Pombears, Penis Beakers & Maui Grin

Penguinepenguins · 31/03/2016 15:11

I thought they were going to divorce once back from Hawaii refuse to say Maui because they couldn't decide on a sofa... And everyone hates him...

I can't believe I missed the post on the twins, I don't care if she is a troll the entertainment value is awesome! Why did they delete it...

Penguinepenguins · 31/03/2016 15:13

Crossed posts with squeegy

I'm so glad you update is squeegy I will sleep easy tonight knowing nobody will be divorcing after their dream wedding

MiffleTheIntrovert · 31/03/2016 15:21

I must be getting old. The wedding one made me smile, primarily due to some good responses, but the OP wasn't funny at all. I don't think for one minute she was a newbie, it came across as someone deliberately trying to be either tongue in cheek or provocative - it got a bit boring when more than one thread was posted. The fact they were deleted also makes me think it's a long term MNer having a bit of a troll

The deletion message was good though - respect to MNHQ.

usual · 31/03/2016 15:37

This reply has been deleted

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Ninjagogo · 31/03/2016 15:41

Fab deletion message! Despite me presenting enough Biscuit to ruin a good diet, I really hope that heyhaily is a real, very young, naive and well meaning person. If not, then it is quite good trolling, the responses have all been great Grin

thatcoldfeeling · 31/03/2016 15:42
Grin

Not totally sure why it has been deleted though? Does this mean it was just a troll all along or just, because, Maui!?

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 31/03/2016 15:48

boring and a bit too try hard

I remember when regulars used to put a bit MORE effort into this sort of thing- it was a full day or two's work

like the pomander on the tube. Or the badger cam one where the DH was sanding his knob. Or the one where the pfb mum wanted to screen birth on a loop at her dd's christening

course in them days you wouldn't get deleted, you'd get into classics

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2016 15:51

On the upside I now know where Maui is.

Floggingmolly · 31/03/2016 16:03

Please will someone explain what because Maui actually means
I was on the thread but I still don't get it...

MrsS1990 · 31/03/2016 16:08

Haha GrinGrin

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 31/03/2016 16:11

Flogging I take it to be a reference to the Maui poster - the so called Hailey - and to mean that it was by the same poster who may, or may not, be a PBP. I don't know if the deleted thread was posted in the Hailey name or not because I missed all the good bits this morning.
Either that or that it was a whole load of shite just like the Maui thread.

YesThisIsMe · 31/03/2016 16:14

If your question concerns the young-person-style grammar then this article may shed some light Molly.
