I'm considering the Silver Cross Surf 2/Wayfarer... Looking for other inspiration!

Yes the Uppababy Vista is great on cobbles, though if you're going to do a lot of cobbles you should apparently lock the front wheels (easy).

Don't run on cobbles though, with wheels unlocked, or it might flip and your newborn will go flying through the air...

dontpokethebear · 27/03/2016 22:43

We had a Bug Donkey Duo (brilliant, but huge. Although I could easily get it through my front and shop doors), then a Bug Cameleon. We now have a N-joy Bubble, which is a parent (or world) facing umbrella stroller which is perfect for school run and nipping into town.

Cerseirys · 27/03/2016 22:44

Babyzen Yoyo. We were living in a first floor flat in London and used buses a lot. We have the 2014 model which had a couple of little design niggles which they've ironed out in the latest model. It's perfect for city living really, I don't know why people who live in cities and use public transport bother getting massive tank like prams.

We bought an Out n About Nipper later on as we moved house to somewhere where there are several off-road walks we can do and the Yoyo isn't great for that.

CalleighDoodle · 27/03/2016 22:48

Icandy cherry. Used for two children. Off now to be used for my Nephew. Great oram. Really easy to steer.

Only1scoop · 27/03/2016 22:49

Stoke xplory

It was beyond fantastic.

MrsMook · 27/03/2016 22:50

Silver Cross Linear Freeway. I have a decent boot, and it's been a fab all rounder. It's done a lot of bumpy ground at Buggyfit- at one stage with a (small) 4 year old in it (while I had a 2 year old on my back). DS1 was 2 when DS1 was born, so for the early months when DS2 was just lying, I put a seat on the top of the pram. Both DCs have been really comfortable with it as it lies flat and goes very upright. It's also a free choice of which direction they face.

When DS1 was 18m+, a joint became loose. I contacted customer services, and although it was out of warranty from purchase date, it was less than that from when I started using it. They repaired for free, and it was less than 48hrs from pick up to drop off by courier. I also had a quick response to a car seat query when DH changed his car.

I also have a Zest buggy that's now over 4 yrs old that I've done much of my local walking with that one with the two children. It's been good value for durability and features.

AngelsWithFilthySouls · 27/03/2016 22:50

Silver cross pioneer. Love the big basket and the larger wheels mean that long walks with the dog through parks etc. have been easy for me and comfy for DS. It's been used multiple times a day for 18 months with no issues.

MrsAmaretto · 27/03/2016 23:33

Icandy peach. I've used it nearly everyday for 6 years and I love it and it still looks good. I never converted it into a 2 baby/child pram.

The only thing I would do differently is not buy a baby car seat. Was advised by midwives not to keep baby in a car seat for more than 2hours, baby is better lying flat etc. So I nearly always transferred baby into the pram carrycot rather than put the bucket car seat into the pram chassis. As we now Have Extended Rearfacing Car seats anyway I could have saved myself a couple of hundred pounds by not buying an infant car seat and base!

Jw35 · 28/03/2016 00:06

Out and about nipper 360. Best buggy ever! So easy to push, steers easy, goes over rough ground. Not too big, lots of storage and lies completely flat for a newborn. Got the single, getting the double. If you put slime in the tyres they don't puncture

Li5beth · 28/03/2016 06:23

I have Cybex Priam and love it! Initially liked bugaboo chameleon but I'm tall and it seemed low for me besides it doesn't have the lie flat option. Also considered Stokke but looks a bit weird and too bulky for our car.

TheodoreEvelynMoseby · 28/03/2016 06:28

Quinny Zapp Xtra and mamas and papas zoom.

Both travel systems. Zapp is nice and compact, zoom is bigger but more sturdy so more suitable for long walks, going park etc.

HairyBoob · 28/03/2016 06:29

I've had an Icandy cherry (shit), P&T Explorer (great but massive and heavy), Bugaboo Camelon (best by far) and Maclaren (great for when they're a bit older).

Good luck - it's a minefield!

olympicsrock · 28/03/2016 06:49

Quinny Buzz and baby jogger City Mini. Quinny is not great. Heavy takes too much room etc City Mini is fab despite small wheels great for walks even coped with the beach. Buy the maxi cos adaptors to make a travel system and take car seat when you fly go on trains etc ... also turns it into a high up parent facing pram for a newborn. Still fits my tall 4.5 year old for emergencies. . ..

CallaLilli · 28/03/2016 08:04

Best advice I can give OP is to think about where you live and what daily life involves. Do you live in a city and use public transport? Or do you live in the countryside and go on lots of walks over muddy terrain etc? Do you have a car and if so does it have a small boot or a large one?

Paddingtonthebear · 28/03/2016 08:16

Uppababy Vista and then a Babyzen Yoyo. Both very different to each other but both fab. Any other pram or buggy I tried felt crappy in comparison

trulyscrumptious33 · 28/03/2016 08:21

I got the wayfarer and hated it. It was so awkward to manoeuvre in comparison to my friends' pushchairs.

CobblerBob · 28/03/2016 08:22

I had a bugaboo chameleon - fine but I felt a big and not as wonderful as I thought it was going to be. Sold it for what I paid for it so no loss.
A mothercare tiny lightweight thing - crap.
A mothercare three wheeler - given to me by a family member which I gave back after getting stuck on a bus with it. Too big but a joy to push.
A quinny zapp for travel after the mothercare lightweight thing died on it's first trip abroad.
A Micralite fast fold - loved this one, super easy to fold and store with one hand while holding a child, the one my children seemed to like it the best to sit in too.
An Out and about nipper double - inevitable when number two came - fantastic twin buggy. Great to push, folded flat, walked miles with this.

Easily the best - Micralite fast fold. Fantastic buggy.

2016Bambino · 28/03/2016 08:28

Silver Cross Surf here. I wouldn't buy it again as it doesn't carry enough shopping etc and it isn't really strong enough to hang stuff off the handle. It's been in for repair too.
We're on baby no 2 now and I'm not replacing it due to cost but my 3 year old loves riding on the board attachment.

bluejasmin · 28/03/2016 08:32

I've had a Stokke , quinny and a bugaboo bee.
The bee is by far my favourite for ease and its compact but I did ( and still do ) think it's slightly odd looking .

megletthesecond · 28/03/2016 08:50

It all depends on your lifestyle. Whether you drive, walk or use the bus. Do you want it for shopping? Some off road walks? You don't necessarily need a stroller either. A sturdy three wheeler is stronger for longer.

Bishybishybarnabee · 28/03/2016 08:57

Vennicci Mini here - love it, it ticks all our boxes, which are of course different for everyone. Lightweight, folds up small and DS (now 12months) has always seemed comfortable in it. I particularly liked that when I bought it the package included absolutely everything, down to rain cover, cup holder etc which a lot of ones I looked at didn't. The only downside is the basket isn't very big, not really a problem for me but could be for some.

sunnyshowers · 28/03/2016 09:14

Out and about double and single.
I ve had a quinny graco cosetto and a few others and out and about is by far the best I ve ever had.
Only regret was I bought second hand, if I'd know how amazing it would be I d have bought it new and not bothered with the others.
The newer version takes a bassenett and car seat...I wouldn't recommend any other buggy...The first year flies and it was brilliant when I had heavy twin 3yr old and a 4 yr old on a buggy board...it was so easy to push.

weeblueberry · 28/03/2016 09:16

Uppababy vista. Have used it for 2 kids (it's the 2013 model) and it's been excellent.

One of the biggest shopping baskets on the market.
Uv sun protection cape on front of cover.
Amazing on rough roads. I used my friends Quinny when we went to the woods the other day and couldn't believe how hard it was to push on the mud and rocks!
Adjustable handle. DP is 6ft and I'm 5ft1 and we can both comfortably push.
Has a rumble seat available if you have a toddler and baby at any point.
Can be used with a car seat as mentioned.
Bassinet certified for overnight use. We used it instead of a travel cot in early days.

The only downside I've found is the folding mechanism isn't easy or self explanatory. You couldn't really figure it out without being told how to do it which has led to interesting situations with family when I forgot to show them how to fold it. Grin

Imperialleather2 · 28/03/2016 09:27

I had a bugaboo cameleon which I loved and used daily for 2 years. Then got a Maclaren xt which I hated really hard to push one handed.

Dc2 came along went back to the cameleon still loved it but after 18 months got fed up of the 2 part fold so bought a Bee which I really didn't like. So bought a baby jogger city mini gt which I like as much as the cameleon to push etc and the fold is Amazing.

I think it's hard to get a pram that does everything which is why most people end up buying 2!

Bunnybop · 28/03/2016 09:55

I have twins so not as much choice pushchair wise. We went for the Icandy peach blossom with carrycots and car seats. It's fab made getting out in the early days so easy, fold is brilliant.

We also have a nipper 360 double for off roading and days out, the only nice thing I have to say about it is its light to push. I hate everything else about it.
