I'm considering the Silver Cross Surf 2/Wayfarer... Looking for other inspiration!

We had a Maclaren super dreamer back in the 90's Grin It was the perfect pushchair.

We had an Oyster which has been great and lasted heavy wear through two children.

Had a Silver Cross stroller (pop?) for DD and it was always a bit rickety. Have just bought a Baby Jogger City Lite for DS and it's much better. Looks v comfy and suspension is great. Very light, nippy and the fold is great.

I had a bug chameleon for 18 months. With the lovely warm cosy toes...
Yes, they can be travel systems. Just get adaptors for your car seat. We used a pebble.
Then we had a luna. Much smaller and lighter.
Now we use a quinny zapp. As we don't use it very often. But it's small in the car boot...

For ds, 12:years ago. We used a Graco travel system. That was fine too.
They have all been fine. But I wouldn't use the quinny for a new baby.

I have a cosatto giggle which I love!

Babystyle Oyster travel system here. I wanted one that was compatible with the maxi cosi car seat, parent and forward facing, easy to manoeuvre with one hand, easy to fold and light and small enough to fit in my boot easily. Fab buggy.

Plastic spoon, I used to pore over those! Shame they don't make it any more.

Out n about nipper is fab and so easy to push one handed when walking with a toddler. Love the deep seat and the drawstring shopper bag which is like Mary poppins bag!

Out n about Nipper is an amazing buggy to steer across all terrain better than the mountain buggy which was ok, it's so on easy steps, mud etc. Not convenient but if you have space do it.

I'm looking for an off-roader for weekend trips etc with my 18month old. He's DS2 and a bit of a wild one, so for safety, and managing 2 DSes, I expect we'll get a good 18 months out of it...thinking about a Phil n Ted's navigator 2 (because there are some reduced catalogue returns on eBay). Anyone got any experience with these?

Our usual buggy is a iCandy apple. Great, still in excellent condition 5 years on from purchase. Have easily found new parts on eBay when necessary. Just not great on very rough terrain (manages park and beach fine).

Have had a Quinny Zap for urban travel. Really small when folded. But wouldn't recommend for smaller babies

Out of the ones mentioned here, a bug cam is far and away the best of the bunch.

My personal favourite was my second hand stokke xplory which was a bargain and bloody amazing for the amazing puke machine that was my youngest.

I have a Bugaboo Bee and a Cameleon.

Bee is good for an older toddlers- easy for them to climb in and out themselves. I'm surprised that pp said one year old grew out of it as my over the 100th centile (for height and weight) boy could fit into it til he turned 3. So it did him til 110cm. This is because the back rest extends upwards. He was too heavy for it but it held up.

Cameleon didn't fare so well when he was too big. His head came past the canopy and something snapped inside when I tilted it back to go over curb so it couldn't be folded.

But until their feet can reach the footrest I don't think Bee is very comfy (except when they are small lying flat baby). That's why I got a Cameleon. Plus there is no bar in Bee for them to put hands on so he would hold the sides and fingers would get bumped.

Bee carrycot isn't as good but I think they actually prefer the slight head elevation they get in regular Bee seat with the baby cocoon which is cozy for them.

You can put car seat on top of regular Bee seat if you are lazy.

Bee is better on holiday. Easier as it folds as one piece and the seat meant that my 3mo old could go in it as well as my jet lagged 3yo.

I love all the accessories you can get for Bugaboos.

I like how Stokke is higher but how does older children get themselves in and out? I'm thinking of situation when you have a tired 2 yo and your pregnant with number two and don't want to lift toddler up.

My friend got a Babyzen yoyo after her Cosatto developed dangerous fault and she loved it and used it as everyday buggy.

I wish they'd been around when I had DS as he's flown 30 times but I guess he might have been too big for it. I still kind of want one...

I have the wayfarer and I quite like it. I also have the Jane slalom pro for running and the silver cross does feel a bit rickety in comparison but it's lightweight, easy to use and comfy for ds!!

Jané Rider, still going strong after 3y almost daily use. Best money we ever spent. Heavy though.

Babyjogger double, which I love, I would like a single but can't justify it.

P&T Sport, heavy and difficult to manoeuvre. Unbeatable off road though.

Kiddy stroller for holidays, massive hood, I really like it. I can sit them both in it with the seat fully reclined.

I am a non car driver, my Maclaren was awsome, it goes from birth+, easy to steer and a real solid workhorse. Lasted until ds grew out of it at 3.5 years. Walked everywhere with it and great on the bus and taxi.

I have had the bugaboo chameleon for 3 kids and used it almost continuously for 6 years and although a bit battered it still works a treat. Used it first with car seat then with carrycot and then as pram haven't got anything negative to say about it . I only bought cheap pushchair to take aboard as I don't want to get it lost/ stolen or covered in sand

We had a Quinny Buzz for ds who is 5, loved it actually except for its width and weight. He went into a Maclaren techno xt at around 2. We got a bee for dd who is coming up for 2 and bloody loved it, so light and easy in comparison to heavy clunky travel systems. Loved the cocoon too. My sister is about to borrow it for her baby (due in May) andhas got the newer newborn bassinet to use with it, which is gorgeous. Dd has been very firmly in the Maclaren since 1.5.

We had a joolz and then a city jogger mini gt. Both were fab for "off roading". We have just sold the last one. Baby is all grown up! Sad

Bugaboo here and on its fourth child it has been round all the cousins and still runs great. If i had to buy one then id buy a bugaboo again. If you are planning more children with < 2 year gap then get something that can convert to a double though.

Baby jogger city mini gt. Love it. Had car seat adapters for maxi cosi seat and used a graco soft carrycot which slid into the seat area when DD was tiny. The lie flat is brilliant. The fold is one handed and easy. The 'ride' is fab too. Definitely recommend

I'm a bit of a buggy addict.... I've had 4 dc, aged 26-4, and have used all kinds of prams/ buggy.

First dc4 I had a Bugaboo Cam which was absolutely amazing. I bought it second hand for half the price of a new one. For some reason I thought it would be a good to get a Maclaren. I was wrong! Should have kept the Cam! Dh wasn't letting me buy another Cam as ds was 18 mths old, so we got Baby Jogger City Mini. It is the best buggy ever!! Roomy, light, easy to push one handed, fab fold and a huge hood. I wish I'd found these years ago!

Uppababy Vista, mine is still going strong 5 years and 2 children later. The basket is fab, stores loads. Their customer service is excellent, they recently sent me a new raincover free of charge, despite my pram being out of guarantee.

I've been eyeing up a Venicci after test running my nieces.

I was going to go for a silver cross/ bugaboo but fell in love with this instead!

Bugaboo bee, lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, great for getting on and off buses, can collapse easily, across ages from baby in cocoon, to toddler, can have seat facing either way, great for city living...

Joolz here too - the mamas and papas version that we were given second hand. It was great and really sturdy even off road. I've only moved onto a stroller for ds now because I need the space in the car boot.

Bugaboo Bee fan here also! Had a huge trav
System my mum picked when I was pregnant with PFB. She and I soon realised it wasn't practical. Bugaboo Bee was great! It's been used by my 2 and a friends
2 kids and is still in good order ( if very grubby)!
