What are people waiting for?

Is it aesthetically pleasing to some people to have an out of date tatty piece of pointless paper slightly blocking their view of the road?

Are there 'listed' cars out there where it's a requirement to leave them in?

FFS why?

I like my wee tax disc. Keeping it.

I still have mine too. I don't have time to start faffing around inside the car when I sit down. I'm always in a rush when I drive anywhere. I'll leave it for the next owners to remove it.

This [SORN] declaration is valid until you re-tax, sell, permanently export or scrap the vehicle"

This is a recent change. Until about two years ago, you had to renew your SORN every 12 months. As namechage has had the car off the road for a decade, it is possible the SORN expired before the requirements changed.

Namechage Best way to check is to check on the DVLA website and it will bring up the tax status of the car.
