It makes biscuits and bread soggy and fills the drink/soup with great wet lumps. Yeuch. Why would anyone do this to themselves or their innocent food??

You couldn't live in Spain then
Dunking is the law there

LifeofI · 21/03/2016 17:51

Soggy bread does look kind of gross but i'm a dunker

NuggetofPurestGreen · 21/03/2016 17:54

Why just today I have dunked white bread with butter in my cuppa-soup and some biscuits in my coffee.

NataliaOsipova · 21/03/2016 17:58

I'm with you. I can't bear it....even with those biscotti that you're supposed to dunk! I like them, but am constantly at risk of breaking a tooth as the idea if dunking it in my tea is a no-no.

ephemeralfairy · 21/03/2016 18:00

I fear I had mental images of tea bagging when I read this title....

MamaLazarou · 21/03/2016 18:03

Dunking bread, croissants or toast is so wrong.

scarednoob · 21/03/2016 18:06

I am not averse to the tone being lowered. I will judge you harshly for dunking biscuits, but anything else you choose to dunk is your own business.

houseeveryweekend · 21/03/2016 18:57

dunking is yum but it does look disgusting.... the biscuit tastes better but then the tea is left all ganky with bits of soggy biscuit in the dregs... so its anyones game really
.....is there a sexy 'dunking'? i wasn't aware of that but then i am pushing 30 lol i bet all the kids talk about it at school. What was it when i was at school.... teabagging!! tbh im still not entirely sure what that's supposed to be.. i get the gist.... i don't understand if its a positive or negative thing tho haha

CigarsofthePharoahs · 21/03/2016 19:06

I tried to dunk an aero bar once. Baaaad idea! Jaffa cakes don't hold up too well either.
I do love to dunk a chocolatey biscuit though. Mmm! I dunk my bread in my soup and I save a bit for the end to wipe the bowl with.

I can't bear dunked biscuits, or soggy / slimy bread or sponge (summer pudding / trifle etc).

However, I like a brief dunk of crusty bread in my soup. But not long enough to make it soggy. Perhaps I'm a touch contrary!

Salmotrutta · 21/03/2016 19:09

Ginger snaps are the best dunking biscuit.

And it has to be in tea. Not coffee.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 21/03/2016 19:11

You used to be able to buy a chocolate bar called a Spira. Two twisted tubes of chocolate. Great for using as a straw in your hot chocolate.

UterusUterusGhali · 21/03/2016 19:12

Goady Biscuit Fucker. Grin

My brother dips toast in his cup of tea Confused

Fraggleyourock · 21/03/2016 21:41

Don't know if this has been said, but you haven't eaten a chocolate finger properly until you have drunk your tea through it first. Mmmm Grin

Shinyshoes2 · 21/03/2016 21:45

I drink tea through a twix !
Bite off each end and use it as a straw Grin
I actually rip up bread into large chunks and mix it into the soup ... Yum
Dunking biscuits is the LAW !

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 21/03/2016 21:49

I dunk biscotti in my Vin Santo vairswanky

NoCapes · 21/03/2016 21:49

DS dips his fries in his milkshake at McDonalds Envy!

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 21/03/2016 21:53

The only thing I like to dunk is a wispa in a hot chocolate then suck the gooey bits off, but yeah OP I agree with you. Soggy biscuits and lumps in tea/coffee whatever eugh.

OliviaDunham · 21/03/2016 21:56

Biscuits should be dipped - however my DH dips buttered toast in his tea, that is vile!!

TheCometAndLittleLegend · 21/03/2016 22:32

Another Spira straw tea drinker here, not too hot though.

mourns loss of Spira from the sweets aisle

CanadianMum2 · 21/03/2016 22:42

I'm another tear up bread into chunks and mix it into your soup. And if you're not well mum cuts the bread into nice cubes! Grin

Fraggleyourock · 22/03/2016 00:46

I do that too nocapes Blush, I told my 5 year old nephew to try it the other day and he said it's too gross to try Grin
