So I can watch The Voice and Casualty?

It's always the bloody programmes I like to watch that are messed around with. Even if my programmes are a bit shit!

I hate the way they are always mucking about with Casualty. I have saved myself a Grey's from midweek to fill the gap.

Catzpyjamas · 19/03/2016 19:10

DH has just reminded me that I was out last Saturday so I have an episode of Casualty to catch up on Smile. However he is watching rugby on the big tv so I have the choice of DSS's pit room or the tablet (so can't MN at same time) Sad

It would still be a big game if it was on a sports channel.

Which would be a good idea if there was a non subscrption one. However there isn't.

Thunderblunder · 19/03/2016 19:14

I wish there was far more sport on the BBC.
It's about the only thing I watch.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 19/03/2016 19:14

I don't have any sports channels. Can't be doing with most sport. One night out of 52 Saturdays I get something good.
Tbf though they could've put it on BBC2.

Angeladelight · 19/03/2016 19:16

I've been really excited about the voice all day today and then remembered it isn't on Sad

AYD2MITalkTalk · 19/03/2016 19:24

I bloody hate talent programmes like The Voice and soaps like Casualty, but I also hate SPORT SPORT SPORT whenever there's a "big match" or something. If the BBC can justify splitting off into BBC News, BBCs 3&4, BBC Parliament, and BBC Red Button (even if not all those experiments survived), and ITV can manage ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, and probably a couple of others by now, they can certainly justify a sports channel, and those of us who aren't interested don't have to have our programmes titted about with.

Aeroflotgirl · 19/03/2016 19:27

MOTD can blooming feck off!

Catzpyjamas · 19/03/2016 19:31

Exactly, AYD2MITalkTalk , I would prefer a BBC Sports to Parliament. At least DH and DSS could watch sport elsewhere and leave me the few hours of rubbish I stay awake for.

BatmanLovesPeaceAndQuiet · 19/03/2016 19:36

AYD2MITalkTalk - I was just coming on to suggest a BBC Sport!

It could give more time and coverage to things like women's football and less popular sports that still have a large following, like ice hockey.

And I wouldn't have to wait 24 hours to marvel at Boy George's hats Grin

loubielou2 · 19/03/2016 19:38

Sport trumps everything else on TV. If there's a big match, sod the very large proportion of the population who hate it. I'm sure most TV commissioning is managed by men. But I do, reluctantly, accept this is a big match tonight. Going to miss Casualty. Boo hoo. Couldn't they move it over to BBC2?

Ohbehave1 · 19/03/2016 19:39

Yabu. The Voice and Casualty are the reason I DONT watch NBC on a Saturday night ........

ExitPursuedByABear · 19/03/2016 19:41

My 88 year old dad doesn't have spesh telly.

He will be watching.

But I ageee. It could be on 2.

CordeliaFrost · 19/03/2016 19:42

Not everyone has (or can afford) designated sports channels, so I love the fact the Six Nations is on free-to-air channels, and it's a welcome change from the usual shit that is served up.

AYD2MITalkTalk · 19/03/2016 19:43

Spesh telly? You mean the digital broadcasts that everyone has because the analogue system with 5 channels has been turned off?

Philoslothy · 19/03/2016 19:44

I have just sat down to watch the voice, I may have to talk to my husband - only he is watching the rugby so he won't reply

DontCareHowIWantItNow · 19/03/2016 19:44

I'm fed up of talentless shows on every Saturday night. As soon as one finishes another starts.

I'm enjoying the rugby as is my family. Come on England Wink

Shutthatdoor · 19/03/2016 19:46

Spesh telly? You mean the digital broadcasts that everyone has because the analogue system with 5 channels has been turned off?

I took that to mean sky/Virgin etc where the sports subscription channels are.

ilovesooty · 19/03/2016 19:46

So much sport is now only available on a paid for basis I welcome any the BBC has on. I don't think there is anything like enough sport on mainstream TV.

MrsJayy · 19/03/2016 19:47

Ch4 have formula 1 that means tonnes of car programmes least when it was on Bbc was just the race

AYD2MITalkTalk · 19/03/2016 19:47

Fair enough door - if the BBC would just do a terrestrial sports channel, tho, it would make life a lot easier and more pleasant.

Northernlurker · 19/03/2016 19:50

You'd rather watch The Voice and Casualty rather than rugby? Really? Really? Have you looked at he players recently? Hmm Wink

ExitPursuedByABear · 19/03/2016 19:52

Yes I meant paid for spesh telly.

He has all them other channels

PunkrockerGirl · 19/03/2016 19:52

I kind of see where you're coming from. But imo, anything that replaces the shite that is the Voice can only be seen as a good thing.
Very annoyed about Casualty though Smile
