To have phoned the council about my neighbours bonfire.

Three days, three bloody days from 10ish until dusk they have been burning wood. I can see the flames now above my 6 foot fence. They keep it stocked and all gather round with beers in the evening. I've phoned the council and they are on the way round. It's the first time we've had any decent weather and I just want to open my windows and hang my washing out.

That sucks, what inconsiderate bastards! Let's hope the council do
something about it

Two people from the council just came round, they popped out to my garden then went round to see them.
They just called me to say neighbours said they have finished for the day. Indeed they have just poured water on it. The five adults/teenagers have gone in and left two young children (under 7) alone in the garden with the still smouldering fire, idiots.

I would have phoned the police or emergency social services or something. They sound like great parents!
