To think I don't fit in on mumsnet

Picnic2223 · 12/03/2016 03:20

I love slogans (within reason) on children's clothes

I actually an interested in Cheryl and Liam, jeremy and Stephanie, Kim and Kayne (and the rest)

I don't wash my bed sheets weekly (although am sleeping in fresh sheets tonight's)

I don't believe that men are the route of all evil, I've meant some equally horrible /gormless /irrational women too.

And finally I know you are not your husbands mother (well I hope you are not) but Don't get why he wouldn't do something for mothers day from younger children (even if you are separated)

It's always the ones with the normal middle-of-the-road opinions who start threads saying they don't fit in.

You never get anyone with wild outlandish beliefs saying they don't fit in. Donald Trump supporters, Daily Mail readers, welfare bashers, racists - these never flounce off MN in a huff (if only they would). They settle right in and make themselves feel at home, the goady feckers.

The only thing that gives me pause for thought Is the legions of folk who consider £30,000 low paid and who have pay off their mortgages aged 35.

I don't know anyone who has done the eithout significant inheritance

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 12/03/2016 12:02

I quite like The DM, Grin. Well, I find it interesting to read. Blush

You like misogyny and xenophobia?

thecatfromjapan · 12/03/2016 12:38

Fanjo I think misogyny and xenophobia are not good choices for your twins. People will have trouble spelling them correctly and you will find yourself in awkward situations trying to decide whether to correct them.

Trills · 12/03/2016 12:38

If you visit a forum and think that it is not for you - why post saying "I don't fit in here"?

Are you just looking for us to say "of course you do hun"?

Why not just go explore the rest of the internet and find a forum where you DO feel that you fit in?

honeylulu · 12/03/2016 13:12

I sometimes think I don't belong here. But I'm someone who struggles to fit in anywhere. I'm certainly not thick skinned enough for posting in aibu. Though .... I am addicted to mumsnet. I love the no huns/baby dust crap, the gratuitous swearing, crude humour that has me crying with laughter. Not to mention that I've learned a whole new vocabulary including "fanjo", "cocklodger", "cunt badger" etc.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 12/03/2016 13:14

LOL thecat Grin

Pinkheart5915 · 12/03/2016 13:18

I think there are many personalities on mumsnet.
Just like in real life you won't agree with everybody the whole time.

For the record
My ds (6 months) does have slogan baby stuff, I like it and he looks super cute
I take no interest in celebrities
I have a cleaner that changes my bedding weekly
I don't think men are all evil. Both men and women do things wrong
I think with regards to Mother's Day when child are young men should like my husband did arrange a card and a nice day together

SohowdoIdothis · 12/03/2016 13:19

Sorry I didn't get the memo that we were supposed to fit in, does it matter, it would be very pointless and boring if everyone was the same.

fluffywol · 12/03/2016 13:46

Um. Who the fuck are 'Liam, jeremy and Stephanie'?

Alisvolatpropiis · 12/03/2016 13:59

Okay, bye then.

flippinada · 12/03/2016 14:10

Too true kawliga Grin

Narp · 12/03/2016 14:12

fluffywol

Stephanie Seymour - acclaimed 1980s/90s supermodel?

Liam Neeson - serious actor-cum-kickass middle aged action hero?

RortyCrankle · 12/03/2016 15:41
  1. I don't care, have no children
  1. How ghastly [shudders]
  1. Lots of people on here don't.
  1. The word is root and of course they aren't
  1. Never understood why a husband should buy stuff for MD - it's up to the children when old enough surely.

Bye

derxa · 12/03/2016 15:56

Um. Who the fuck are 'Liam, jeremy and Stephanie'? Grin

Believe me fluffy I wish I didn't know who they are Blush

derxa · 12/03/2016 16:00

I love the idea of wee Misogyny and Xenophobia Grin. Would they live up to their names?

JenEric · 12/03/2016 16:42

How big is your house that you need FIVE loo brushes?

Sorry what was the original question?

SQUIRREL!

JenEric · 12/03/2016 16:44

Oh I got it now. The route of all evil is in fact the A666 which leads to Blackburn.

liberatedwine · 12/03/2016 17:14

So we're discussing the A666 the North Wales Expressway is worse and Liam Neeson, changing bed linen, Choose Life t-shirts and toilet brushes?

Have I got that right, hun? I need to know so I can fit in, y'see.

Sparklingbrook · 12/03/2016 17:18

I hate the North Wales Expressway. That's the one with the tunnels isn't it?

liberatedwine · 12/03/2016 17:28

Loads of tunnels Sparklingbrook but as far as I know Jeremy Kyle and Stephanie Beacham don't drive along it.

Sparklingbrook · 12/03/2016 17:29

I used to drive from the Midlands to Anglesey a lot but never saw them that's true. Grin

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 12/03/2016 17:36

The north Wales expressway tunnels are horrendous. Why anyone uses that road is beyond me!

SauvignonBlanche · 12/03/2016 17:44

What route would you take from Chester to Holyhead? Hmm
