To think I don't fit in on mumsnet

I love slogans (within reason) on children's clothes

I actually an interested in Cheryl and Liam, jeremy and Stephanie, Kim and Kayne (and the rest)

I don't wash my bed sheets weekly (although am sleeping in fresh sheets tonight's)

I don't believe that men are the route of all evil, I've meant some equally horrible /gormless /irrational women too.

And finally I know you are not your husbands mother (well I hope you are not) but Don't get why he wouldn't do something for mothers day from younger children (even if you are separated)

Mumsnet isn't like the Brownies, we don't wear a uniform and recite a promise to serve the Queen and the community.

It's a (mostly) supportive network of people with differing views and opinions, interrupted occasionally by sad folk facing fake dilemmas and conversing with themselves using a sock or two. But even that can be funny sometimes.

BadDoGooder · 12/03/2016 07:36

conversing with themselves using a sock or two

Grin

OP we are all different, just go on the political leanings thread to see how we range from staunch Tories to far Left Greenies!
It's good to be different.

ErgonomicallyUnsound · 12/03/2016 07:50

Fitting in is overrated. Part of the point of MN, IMO, is reading about different views and interests to learn Shock

With that in mind I shall now go and Google Jeremy and Stephanie as I don't know who the fuck they are.

LavenderDoll · 12/03/2016 08:01

Biscuit surely you must feel you fit in or else why are you here?

TheDowagerCuntess · 12/03/2016 08:04

You're dead special, OP. ❄️

DonkeyOaty · 12/03/2016 08:15

Is it awful to laugh hugely at you lot eating OP for breakfast? Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/03/2016 08:23
Confused

Hide the right topics and you can have MN just the way you want.

quicklydecides · 12/03/2016 08:24

Dead special.
Brilliant.

TheStoic · 12/03/2016 08:25

Sweetsweetjane · 12/03/2016 08:27

I don't fit in anywhere. Fuck it, I'll just barge in and enjoy the party anyway.

InvictusVersinium · 12/03/2016 08:28

You really may be special. Star

tryandtryagain · 12/03/2016 08:29

Stereotyping much ? Biscuit

NellyTimes · 12/03/2016 08:30

I don't fit in on mumsnet and neither does my wife.

ToomuchChocolatemeansBootcamp · 12/03/2016 08:32

I think having your burnt arse handed to you on a sarcastic plate before 9am definitely means you've joined the MM Club OP, welcome and have fun!!

ToomuchChocolatemeansBootcamp · 12/03/2016 08:33

MN Club obv. No frickin idea who the MM Club is. Mega Mummies? magical mums?

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 12/03/2016 08:34

If you don't feel happy here, then there are other forums to try. But only you can decide whether or not you MN suits you, and vice versa.
We're all different!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/03/2016 08:36

You are interested in Cheryl and Liam etc.?? You're right. You don't fit in Sad

Grapejuicerocks · 12/03/2016 08:41

I though I was pretty beige and was quite balanced and normal. Mumsnet has been an eye opener. There are some very odd people and views about or maybe it is me...

Waypasttethersend · 12/03/2016 08:41

Root of all evil.

YABU but you can't spell so off you pop.

Ubik1 · 12/03/2016 08:43

It's

'Root of all evil'

Wineandcheases · 12/03/2016 08:47

I don't fit in - I think who is ever at home looking after children ( if the other is at work)should do the bulk of the house work !

I like mums net tho

derxa · 12/03/2016 08:50

I started one of these threads a while ago. I realise now it was a bit pathetic. I'll never be MN royalty Grin

ArgyMargy · 12/03/2016 08:56

With all those typos you definitely fit in, love.

LovelyFriend · 12/03/2016 08:58

threads that assume there is a MN "person" or that people who post here are a certain kind, are pretty dumb. Even marginal use of MN will quickly show that there are many many different people who use this site.

SleepyBoBo · 12/03/2016 08:59

Hmm, I'm afraid I can't agree with 'we aren't a hive mind'. There are some topics on here that MN posters seems to be 'in majority agreement with', and God help any poster that disagrees with them. I've seen some threads go on and on with no actual discussion, just posters agreeing with each other over the first 'facts' they googled, and patting each other on the back for being so darn clever. It's a very smug, self congratulating place at times - and yes, it can be difficult to 'find your place'. Not everyone has the same thoughts, but you do have to be a certain type of person. If you're not, many a time I've seen a suggestion that a poster may feel happier elsewhere (was wonderng when Netmums would turn up of this thread, didn't take long).
