He has some sort of vomiting bug. I cannot stand sick Blush Since he started being sick I have washed towels and door handles and had a generally good clean to try and prevent anyone else getting it. DP is on the top floor with access to a personal bathroom and the spare bedroom. WIBU to insist that he does not descend the staircase until he is in fine fettle once more? I'll chuck some snacks up there occasionally, I suppose.

Yanbu. Poor guy. Send up the water, fizzy drinks and dry toast and buckets.... Make sure you clean light switches, phobes, taps etc....

Sounds like a good deal to me! says the woman who had to look after a screaming toddler whilst fighting off similar vomiting bug last week

Yanbu

In these cases my DH is handed a bottle of bleach for use after every toilet use!

CommunistLegoBloc · 08/03/2016 19:52

I've just asked him if he wants something to eat. Oh, says he, I'll make myself something.

No you bloody won't, matey.

This happens everytime dh gets sick. My quarantining is legendary (I have emetephobia) he knows that he sticks to one bedroom and bathroom and has bleach and antibacterial wipes to use everytime he sets foot in the bathroom. All light switches/remotes/door handles etc get wiped all the time and I open doors with my elbows. It's the only way.

You are being very sensible. One year DD had been in hospital just before Christmas and had picked up a bug. Two days later I came down with it. I stayed in the bedroom and used the ensuite only. I kicked OH out of the bedroom and, I'm sure that due to being vigilant, neither OH nor MIL came down with it. DD and I were both well enough to enjoy Christmas.
