To be fed up of all the Mother's Day threads

Seems to be quite a few of them.

Be happy that you are a mother. Remember you are not your dh or dp's mum.

I was happy with the card that my 5 year old dd made at school.

It's just another day and as my hubby said you are a mother all year round, what is 1 day?

I know it feels nice to be treated or spoilt but seriously don't complain if things were not up to your expectations.

Oh fgs! Theyre done now. It was yesterday. Its over. Stop stirring the shitpot.

RudeElf · 07/03/2016 19:27

And youre saying nothing new.

DangerMouth · 07/03/2016 19:29

Agree. Also the one's where they aren't a dm yet or they've lost their dm. I think both situations are incredibly sad and yes would be hard to deal with but the day unfortunately won't be cancelled and there is only so many threads you can say yanbu to be upset/sad/angry etc.

AdrenalineFudge · 07/03/2016 19:29

Is irony usually lost on you?

ghostyslovesheep · 07/03/2016 19:30

so you start another one ...

UnmentionedElephantDildo · 07/03/2016 19:30

I think OP must have missed this thread

IthinkIamsinking · 07/03/2016 19:37

Why does it bother you so much? Nobody is forcing you to read the threads.
Who are you or anyone to tell people what they should or shouldn't be feeling?
If they are such an issue for you why did you start a MD thread?
Sometimes people feel sad or let down by those closest to them for whatever reason. Why shouldn't they feel that just because you and others are satisfied with your day/couldn't give a shit?

Dozyoldtwonk · 07/03/2016 19:40

Boring. awaits first Easter related thread

Cutecat78 · 07/03/2016 19:40

Are we not allowed seasonal threads anymore? Hmm

youngestisapsycho · 07/03/2016 19:41

Don't worry, we have Easter next... All those parents moaning that someone dared to buy their child a chocolate egg..... The horror!

Sparklingbrook · 07/03/2016 19:43

YANBU. But it's the same every year. Same with Halloween. We need a Seasonal Petty Gripes topic.

LagunaBubbles · 07/03/2016 19:45

Just wait till Christmas, you will spontaneously combust at the "AIBU not to lie to my children" threads!

ghostyslovesheep · 07/03/2016 19:45

oh yes evil MIL buys CHOCOLATE for her grandchildren shocker

then Fathers Day moans

Then yay summer hols / fuck summer hols

Yay back to school - bloody uniform, rules, school run

Halloween - 'organised begging'

Christmas - who's parents, 'to want Christmas on our own' MIL spent money on GC shocker

and so it rolls

MidnightVelvetthe5th · 07/03/2016 19:49

Oh I love the Easter egg threads, someone's toddler gets given a tiny chocolate heart by a grandmother and the parents totally lose their shit that it wasnt a fur free organically made low fat no sugar vegetable based treat!

Haha waiting eagerly for them :)

ilovesooty · 07/03/2016 19:52

Seasonal Petty Gripes sounds fun. I could moan about all the winter seasonal stuff there.

Cutecat78 · 07/03/2016 19:54

I that case we need a Bridezilla thread too Grin
