To adjust my diet a bit?

I'm going to start by admitting I'm a 'foodie.' Love eating Blush Smile

I could stand to lose a stone.

I've definitely noticed on days when I have a substantial breakfast I'm less inclined to overeat later on. WIBU to have a lot to eat in the morning - I'm thinking something like porridge, banana, and a yoghurt - something salady for lunch with fish and veg and a 'proper' dinner?

Or would I just be being greedy?

Why would that be greedy?

That sounds like a perfectly sensible amount for a person to eat everyday...I imagine a lot of people eat like that every day...and probably have a snack at some point too like an apple or a cup of tea and a few biscuits :)

mycatsloveeachother · 07/03/2016 18:22

Not sure - just that a three course breakfast seems very indulgent! Grin

Nope. this sounds like a good plan.

Breakfast like a king, lunch like a lord, dinner like a pauper or something to that effect.

I'd leave the carbs out at dinner TBH.

TurnOffTheTv · 07/03/2016 18:24

I always have a cooked breakfast of some sort, I normally eat it at ten and it will see me till 3/4pm

oldlaundbooth · 07/03/2016 18:24

Three course breakfast?

Your brekkie sounds well-rounded to me.

Three course would be porridge, a Full English, then kippers and butter Grin

mycatsloveeachother · 07/03/2016 18:24

Kippers ... yum :)

Also love scrambled egg, that would be a nice breakfast.

I wouldn't describe that as a three choose breakfast but you could always put the banana in the porridge, then it would just be 2 things.Smile

Wolfiefan · 07/03/2016 18:49

I would have porridge OR the banana and yoghurt.

carabos · 07/03/2016 20:03

I usually have a cooked breakfast about 10am, a snack about 3 or 4 and dinner 7 - 7.30 ish. Breakfast will usually be some sort of egg dish, say a cheese omelette or scrambled eggs, snack/ lunch might be a couple of ryvita with ham or cheese, dinner something like a stir fry with chicken or salmon. I might have a handful of nuts or a bit of fruit here and there. I don't eat bread every day, don't eat potatoes or pasta.

Katenka · 07/03/2016 20:04

If it suits you and you think it will help, give it a go.

I don't eat breakfast, makes me feel crap and I definitely eat more over the day. So I don't bother.

My big meal is at lunchtime.

It works for me. But not for everyone
