YANBU. Loved A Little Respect, Oh L'Amour, Sometimes, Am I Right. I remember my upset when Kylie and Jason prevented Stop getting to number one! Run To The Sun is one of my favourite dancing round the house songs.

LaurieFairyCake · 06/03/2016 07:54

"Ooh, ooh, ooh, oohoo, why is life so precious and so cruuueeel""

Plateofcrumbs · 06/03/2016 07:58

Erasure were the first group I really got into, when I was about 13/14. I used to play 'Drama' over and over.

YANBU!

topcat2014 · 06/03/2016 08:04

Saw them live in Milton Keynes - mahoosive outdoor venue - 1st concert I went to.

DarthMother · 06/03/2016 08:09

Love them! I think "Circus" is one of my favourites.

Imfinehowareyou · 06/03/2016 08:10

YANBU. Ship of Fools was my very first single (7 inch!) from Woolworths. I am so proud when people have the "what was the first record you bought" conversations Grin

CrystalQueen · 06/03/2016 08:14

Erasure playlist for the drive to my mother's this morning!

clockbuscanada · 06/03/2016 08:19

Stitch Fire up YouTube for the Run to the Sun video and see a pre-movies Jason Statham in all his silver spray-painted glory.

Love Erasure's version of In The Hall of the Mountain King. And Am I Right? is like hot chocolate for my ears. They have a song for every occasion, criminally underrated.

NellyTimes · 06/03/2016 08:27

Utterly love Erasure, one of my favourite bands along with Pet Shop Boys. I went to see them just over a year ago and they were amazing, go and see them when they tour again.

My favourite songs are Oh L'amour, Phantom Bride and When I Needed You (melancholic mix) but there's not really many of theirs that I don't like.

Effendi · 06/03/2016 08:29

YANBU. Many great tunes, Drama was my favorite.

BeverlyGoldberg · 06/03/2016 08:40

I'm like them but I always sort of forget about them. However I saw them live a few years ago and it was one of the best gigs I have ever been to in terms of massive hits and a brilliant party atmosphere.

One of my favourite ever songs is Always but it makes me cry.

derxa · 06/03/2016 09:27

Love them so much

Gatehouse77 · 06/03/2016 09:30

One of the best concerts I ever went to!

They did bingo during the interval Grin
Love, love, love them!!

molyholy · 06/03/2016 09:50

I really want to go and see them but doesn't look like they are touring any time soon.

I saw the Wild tour too, love Erasure and most of the stuff Vince Clarke did.

Caboodle · 06/03/2016 19:29

Thank you for this reminder..you have just greatly improved Monday's drive to work ☺

NoelHeadbands · 06/03/2016 19:39

Erasure was my first big concert, funnily enough Guilty it was in Birmingham in 1989 Grin

Love them. Always will.

HelenaDove · 06/03/2016 19:50

I bloody loved Erasure. Still do. Depeche Mode Yazoo. OMD Stephen Tin Tin Duffy. Love electro music.

Im sure these bands/ musicians were a big infuence on La Roux I like her too.

Specksofwhiteallaround · 06/03/2016 19:51

Has anyone listened to the album Nightbird? That has a lot of good songs and lives next to my cd player with my Erasure and James albums. Usually gets popped on a couple of times a week Blush. Always is my absolute favourite of theirs though.

chocolatespiders · 06/03/2016 19:52

Absolutely love them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/03/2016 19:53

Yabvvvu - can't stand them.

Bearbehind · 06/03/2016 20:00

I adore Erasure and am convinced I read, at the end of last year, that they were touring at the end of this year but I'll be buggered if I can find anything about it now.

Fingers crossed.

I saw them at the Hammersmith Apollo 25 years ago and remember the interval where Andy Bell did bingo calling for tickets on everyone's seat, a big white swan and him singing Stop! in a lollipop lady outfit- happy memories!

EsmesBees · 06/03/2016 20:00

They don't get played enough on the radio. Some great songs. My favourite is Always.

DrCoconut · 06/03/2016 20:04

YANBU. That's all.

HermioneWeasley · 06/03/2016 20:09

Love them - got them on my iPod too.

"Don't ever let me take you for granted/you've got your fingers on the pulse of my soul/ let me place a kiss in the small of your back/ love and protect you from the evil in this world"

Pure poetry.

Oh, and I'm sure I had my first, ahem, stirrings to the song "sometimes"
