I'm adding it to my cringe list. Along with 'moist', 'lube' and 'unpick'

Bananafish it was used in the context of a non-traditional relationship, so maybe that excuses it somewhat.

--I hope so since it was me that said it.

It's just shorthand, and I've heard worse.

That said I'm deeply and profoundly sorry I ever typed it.

But then I also like the word moist so maybe I am odd. In ways other than being involved in a non traditional relationship.

I know it's a username on this thread but oubliette is something only serial killers use or need.
Fluid bonded; well that's just wankery, isn't it?

Ah I don't suppose it matters what words people use really. Just some phrases rub me up the wrong way. Ooh er missus etc

Hubby makes me cringe.

Women over the age of 18 referring to "nights with the girls" makes me wonder if they are babysitting.

Oh, and all cutesy spellings. Like bikkit instead of biscuit or sammich instead of sandwich. I sometimes have difficulties replying to anything with those words in.

'Wine o'clock'makes the bike rise in me. As does 'girlie night out' and drink described as 'lady petrol'.

Oh and stick 'hun' on there too.

Sorry should say 'bile'. I'm no magician, bikes do not rise in me.

I heard it for the first time on the polyamory thread. As it happens I hang out on another board with an unusually high number of polyamorous types but still haven't heard the phrase before and find it somewhat icky.

However I can see that if you live a romantically complex life you'd need a way to express the idea of "I have unprotected sex with Y because we like it and we've both had clean STD tests and neither of us have unprotected sex with any of our many other sexual partners except for Z with whom Y is attempting to conceive a child - Z is a professional dominatrix but doesn't have penetrative sex with anybody apart from Y". In this scenario X, Y and Z are "fluid bonded".

god can't stand it. And I share some fluids with dh (semen/saliva are all ok) but wouldn't share a cup of coffee or a glass of water with him ever so what does it even mean.

personally we are "children and ah sure who'd have us now" bonded

honestly I think fluid bonded being available as a phrase means we miss an opportunity here. If the phrase didn't exist we could have had a novel or a song or at least a poem about this situation.

Fluid bonded is just a meaningless, made-up, wanky phrase.

It doesn't mean anything. It doesn't make sense.

Yes, wanking is fluidbonding with yourself.

Well, moist is unpleasant sounding in at least another language (that I know obviously) so maybe it's the concept. Same with discharge. Though they don't sound quite so bad in my native language so I've just managed to confuse myself Confused.

It's just pretentious, overt 'coolness' that makes anyone using it sound like a fool. Hth.
